The New Orleans Saints will reportedly play Sunday's game inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome as initially planned.
The Saints and the National Football League were reported to have discussions with Baton Rouge officials about moving games to LSU's Tiger Stadium in order to have fans in attendance, but that would require more preparation time, a source confirmed to ESPN following an initial report from the Athletic's Jeff Duncan.
The possible relocation of games to Baton Rouge could, however, happen in November, but is unlikely to take place before the Saints' Week 11 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons on November 22. New Orleans won't host another game until the Saints' Week 10 matchup against the Carolina Panthers on November 15 after Sunday's matchup.
LSU is scheduled to host Alabama on Saturday, November 14, which would make it difficult for Tiger Stadium to host the Saints' game the following day. New Orleans mayor LaToya Cantrell has denied the Saints' request to host a limited number of fans during home games as the city has tighter restrictions on large gatherings than the rest of the state of Louisiana.
LSU has been approved to allow 25% capacity during home games at Tiger Stadium, which included its only home played so far during the 2020 season on September 26.
