Donations Pour In For Fresno Homeless Thanks To Viral TikToks

Donations from around the world have been pouring in for people facing homelessness in Fresno's Tower District.

Everything started when the store managers of Tower Gas and Mini Mart on East Olive Avenue decided to help a frequent customer.

Phil is a frequent customer at the gas station and has been homeless for the past eight years.

The managers decided to start recording videos of Phil showcasing his talents and speaking about his struggles. They soon started filming other customers as well.

After posting the videos to TikTok they gained over two million followers and more than 32 million views on their posts.

People from all over have grown fond of Phil and other people featured on the account.

Blankets, clothing, and other gifts have started to show up at the gas station. People have also been mailing kind notes to Phil and others.

"Just the other day, I received over 200 plus boxes, packages from the mail from viewers who just want to help these guys out," store manager Akram Mohsin told ABC30.

The managers have been overwhelmed by the loving response. They say it's a side of the homeless in Fresno that people don't often see.
