How Sinful Is Miami? See Where It Ranks Among The 'Most Sinful Cities'

We all have our demons. In America, some cities seem to harbor vices and illicit behaviors more than others.

WalletHub, a personal finance website, crafted a list of the "most sinful" U.S. cities in 2020. As they have done with previous studies, they looked at over 180 cities across 37 "key indicators" for their rankings. "Our data set ranges from violent crimes per capita to excessive drinking to adult entertainment establishments per capita," Adam McCann wrote.

With that said, let's see where Miami sits on their list.

According to the website, the Magic City ranked at No. 6 overall, making it one of the most sinful cities in the nation. Miami also placed pretty high in other metrics: No. 4 in "Jealousy," No. 12 for "Lust" and No. 9 for "Vanity."

Many other Florida cities were featured in the rankings. Here's where they placed:

  • Orlando (No. 12)
  • Fort Lauderdale (No. 31)
  • Tampa (No. 39)
  • Jacksonville (No. 46)
  • Tallahassee (No. 91)
  • Hialeah (No. 97)
  • St. Petersburg (No. 100)
  • Pembroke Pines (No. 122)
  • Cape Coral (No. 177)
  • Port St. Lucie (No. 178)
