Rumors Buzz About Ghost Haunting Puyallup Bowling Alley

We are far from Halloween time, but that doesn't mean spirits are quiet. In fact, there are rumors of a ghost haunting a bowling alley in Puyallup, Washington.

Brad Swartz, the current owner of Daffodil Bowl, and his daughter Ashley told KING 5 they've heard people talk about paranormal activity in the business.

"The previous owners of 22 years never mentioned that this place is known to have a ghost!" Swartz said to reporters. When the coronavirus pandemic forced the bowling alley closed for long periods of time, that's when they started noticing something.

The sound of a bowling ball being thrown down lane 1, when no one was present there.

Swartz said about everyone employee has a story about strange noises, sightings and incidents like "bowling shoes flying off the shelves or cooking utensils dropping from the walls in the kitchen." It's also possible that the phantom's been around, but with no customers around, it's easier to pick up on its activity, they said.

"He comes up behind me and says my name. Sometimes he turns on the pin setters in the back as a way of letting me know he’s here and to have a good day or something," Corey said, who's been working at Daffodil Bowl for over 30 years.

Nobody knows if the ghost is friendly or not, but Swartz thinks, "I just think he doesn’t want to stop bowling!"
