Runaway June's Natalie Stovall is thankful to be healthy again as the new year begins.
On Thursday (December 31), the singer turned to Instagram to reveal that she tested positive for coronavirus several weeks ago but has since been cleared.
"She’s back! Ha," Stovall wrote alongside a selfie. "We've had a full-on COVID Christmas round these parts. I tested positive a few weeks ago and hunkered down with lots of grocery deliveries. (And care packages from sweet @hayleycorbett_ !)"
"So thankful it was a mild case," she continued. "Just achy, exhausted, and SO STRANGE not to taste or smell! But I have been cleared by Vanderbilt and am immune/ not contagious for at least 90 days. Guess that's the silver lining here. I know so many people hurting and affected by this awful disease. 💔"
Stovall also shared that her husband of 12 years, James Bavendam, also tested positive, adding that they are "definitely counting our blessings."
"Stay safe and healthy out there, y'all," she concluded. "Here’s to getting back to normalcy ASAP. 🥂"
Stovall, who joined Runaway June in May after Hannah Mulholland's departure, was cleared of the virus just in time to help with bandmate Jennifer Wayne's now-fiancé, Austin Moody's proposal.
Last Monday afternoon (December 28), Stovall asked Wayne to meet her at Ocean Way Recording Studios in Nashville for a recording session. However, when Wayne arrived Moody was there instead, ready to get down on one knee.
In a collection of photos from the proposal shared with People, Wayne is seen looking pleasantly surprised when she saw Moody upon her arrival to the studio. After she said yes, Stovall came out to pop the champagne for the newly engaged couple before she FaceTimed the third member of Runaway June, Naomi Cooke, to share the news with her.
Wayne's exciting news comes just weeks after Cooke also got engaged to Boys Like Girls frontman Martin Johnson.
