American Horror Story Plans Filming In New England

'American Horror Story: Pilgrim' will be filming in New England this winter.

Creator and producer Ryan Murphy, who has ties to the area, has planned for his show to film its 10th season in Provincetown, Massachusetts, PTownie.com reports.

Staff, writers and actors have reportedly rented houses in the area and shooting is expected to begin on February 1, 2021, Us Magazine reports. The 'Pilgrim' cast is reported to include Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Macaulay Culkin, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Evan Peters and others.

“All of the cast, writers and production have rented houses there,” the source tellsUs. “All the houses are very close together. They should all be able to hang out and house-hop very easily! One of the main writers has a big house right on the beach.”

Murphy, who owns an art studio in Provincetown with his husband, photographer David Miller, received approval to film the upcoming season of 'American Horror Story' from the Select Board during a January 11 board meeting, WickedLocal.com reports.

The application did not list any of the actors expected to appear as castmembers for season 10, but did specify filming would follow strict safety guidelines amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

20th Century Studios said cast and crew will be tested for the coronavirus three times a week and will be required to wear personal protective equipment on location, excluding when actors are on camera.
