Drake's first project of 2021 has arrived!
On Friday (March 5), Champagne Papi dropped Scary Hours 2 — a follow-up to his 2018 EP Scary Hours.
The three-track project includes "Wants and Needs," featuring Lil Baby, "Lemon Pepper Freestyle," featuring Rick Ross, and the previously leaked "What's Next."
Alongwith the EP, Drake dropped a Theo Skudra-directed music video for "What's Next" that finds him in various locations in his hometown of Toronto.
The 34-year-old rapper released his first Scary Hours EP back in January 2018. The two-track project featured “God’s Plan” and “Diplomatic Immunity" with "God's Plan" reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and appearing on Drake's fifth studio album Scorpion.
The Canadian rapper is currently working on his official Scorpion follow-up titled Certified Lover Boy. The LP was initially set to drop in January 2021. However, Drake pushed back the release due to his 2020 knee injury.
“I was planning to release my album this month but between surgery and rehab my energy has been dedicated to recovery,” he wrote on social media at the time. “I’m blessed to be back on my feet feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won’t dropping in January. I’m looking forward to sharing it with you all in 2021.”
Ahead of Scary Hours 2's release, Drake gave an update on CLB, saying, the LP "is currently being chef’d in every way possible.” However, he noted that he doesn't "have an exact date, but it’s in the pot and it’s coming soon.”
