The Miami skyline is about to get a new addition that will bring a bit of The Big Apple to the city.
A five-star hotel brand called Waldorf Astoria is coming to Miami in the foreseeable future, reports WPLG.
The new Waldorf Astoria Residences Miami will be located at 300 Biscayne Boulevard. With 100 stories and rising 1,049 feet above Biscayne Bay, the tower will offer an unobstructed view of Biscayne Bay, Miami, and beyond.
"The unique nature of this project largely comes from not only creating an iconic building, but a distinguished sculpture that would permanently alter Miami's skyline with heigh and design never seen before," said concept designer Carlos Ott.
According to WPLG, the tower will have 360 private residences and 205 guestrooms and suites inside the five-star hotel.
There will also be a restaurant called Peacock Alley featuring indoor and outdoor function spaces, a pool deck with private cabanas, a fitness center, and a spa.
The Waldorf Astoria Miami's website offers a sneak peek of what kind of view residents can expect when the building goes up.
A recent press release described the design of the building as, "Nine spiraling offset glass cubes” that “will transform Miami’s skyline and distinguish the property’s architecture from anything on the East Coast."
