Watch: Detroit Police Looking For Man Connected To An Attempted Carjacking

Police are searching for a man after he was caught on camera attempting to steal a car from a gas station in Detroit.

According to CBS Detroit, at approximately 7:35 a.m. on Monday, August 9, a 54-year-old woman was pumping gas into her white 2014 BMW at a Green Light gas station when Miller allegedly attempted to steal her vehicle.

In the video, the woman is on the passenger side of her car, where she is pumping the gas, and sees the suspect in a white shirt walk up and jump into the driver's seat. She runs around to the driver's side of the vehicle and tries to get him out.

A physical altercation between the suspect and the victim broke out and witnesses jumped in to help the woman, CBS Detroit reported. The suspect then fled the gas station on foot.

The Detroit Police Department released the video of the attempted carjacking on Twitter with the caption:

"GREEN LIGHT CAM - Suspect Wanted Jordan Miller, 29, is wanted for an attempt carjacking at a gas station located in the 900 block of Mack on Monday, 08/09/21 at 7:35 a.m. Call DPD at 313-596-2555 or Crimes Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up. #OneDetroit #ProtectAndServe"
