Each state has qualities that set it apart from other states. Some states are better at physical fitness and healthy eating, while others are known for fried foods and high obesity rates. Some states are known for their sunny, hot weather conditions while others are known for wet, cold, and snowy conditions.
So what about Oklahoma?
Reader's Digest recently took a look at all 50 states to find out their best and worst qualities.
While Oklahoma's neighbor to the south might not agree, the Sooner state is the best when it comes to barbecue because it has the most barbecue restaurants per capita.
On the flip side, Oklahoma is the worst when it comes to walking.
Here's what Reader's Digest had to say:
Unfortunately, though, you won’t be able to walk off all that BBQ, since Oklahoma City received the worst walking score in the nation. With fast traffic and a lack of sidewalks, there’s definitely some, well, steps that need to be taken to improve the city’s walkability.
Walking - especially for long distances - is such a hassle in the state that strangers pitched in to buy an Oklahoma man a car because he walked 17 miles a day just to get to work.
