While chatting with the New York Times about her highly anticipated album Star-Crossed, Kacey Musgraves revealed she has a new friend in fellow music artist Justin Bieber. At one point during the interview, Musgraves was on the receiving end of an "unannounced" FaceTime call from the pop star.

Despite being in the middle of an interview, Musgraves answered Bieber's call. "You freaking love an unannounced FaceTime, dude," she told the Peaches singer.

Musgraves went on to tell the Times that Bieber has been hitting her up on FaceTime "a lot recently," even at inconvenient times. "I'll be lying in bed, hung over at 8 a.m. — FaceTime. It's a decline for me, but he's so sweet," she shared. "Anyway. New friend."

The 'Justified' singer didn't reveal how she and Bieber became friends, but the frequent FaceTimes may leave fans wondering if the pair have any plans to collaborate in the future.

In addition to chatting about Bieber's FaceTime habits, Musgraves spoke candidly on how she really feels about her country music superstardom. "Sometimes I get a little overwhelmed with how self-centered being an artist is... It just feels like me me me me me," she said.

Though she didn't speak directly about her ex-husband Ruston Kelly, Musgraves hinted her fame negatively impacted their marriage. One song on Star-Crossed, titled 'Breadwinner,' will touch on that subject. "I was worried that one song may speak more loudly than another in an emotional sense," she said of the track.

Star-Crossed is set to be released on September 10.
