Fall officially starts on September 22, so your favorite seasonal activities are about to be in full swing.
Whether that means kicking off the season with pumpkin spice lattes, busting out a cozy sweater and snuggling in for a movie night or strolling through apple orchards, there’s tons of stuff to keep you busy.
And if you’re looking to decorate or carve pumpkins, Patch has you covered. The community news hub tracked down popular pumpkin patches in the Atlanta area and shared the list Thursday (September 16). Here’s a list of 10 of the best pumpkin patches to visit in the area:
- Mitcham Farm
- Randy's Pumpkin Patch
- Uncle Shucks Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch
- Warbington Farms
- Yule Forest
- Fear The Woods
Plus, you can admire the gorgeous scenery throughout the Peach State with a trip to Savannah. The travel blog Explore Now Or Never recently presented a list of the 19 best places to visit in October — and it includes one city in Georgia. Here’s why the blog said Savannah is the best place to visit during spooky season, in part:
“Homeowners tend to go all-out with picturesque fall décor. Pumpkins line the entrances of fancy mansions in the Historic District, and visitors might spot fall foliage spilling over the gates of private gardens throughout the city…A plethora of ghost tours run throughout the day and into the night. The walking tours are the scariest, but haunted trolley tours—and even hearse tours— are also an option. The weather is perfect in October for touring beautiful Bonaventure Cemetery.”
