Pete Wentz is best known for his bass playing skills in Fall Out Boy, but the musician's got one helluva scream that fans haven't heard since the early days of his band. Thankfully for those who like to hear his heavier side, Wentz brought that iconic scream back for a vocal feature on nothing, nowhere.'s latest single "CYAN1DE."
The track shows Joseph Edward Mulherin's musical prowess. mixing elements of hip-hop, emo, and hardcore rock to create something entirely new. And Wentz' contribution helps it achieve an even higher level. “Simply put, I’m proud of this song," Mulherin said in a statement. "Pete is a legend and I couldn’t be more excited for the future of nothing, nowhere.”
“CYAN1DE reminds me of the first heavy music I got into and the bands I would scrawl on my trapper keeper at school," Wentz added ni his own statement. "It’s an honor to be a part of this process and this song.”

As for FOB, guitarist Joe Trohman recently revealed that they were working on “guitar-based” new music, but that's been put on the "back burner."
“We were working on some stuff that was guitar-based. I don’t know know what’s happening with it," he told Rolling Stone in September. "I think it unfortunately went to the back burner. It would be nice to make a record where the guitar is a little more upfront." Later, Trohman reflected on the band's old sound and how he doesn't necessarily want to go back to it again. “We did start that way, as a guitar-based rock band, and it’d be cool to go back to those roots. We’d have to find a way to do it that doesn’t sound like Fall Out Boy from 2005," he continued. "It might be cool for somebody else to do that, but it wouldn’t be cool for us to do it.”
