The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles rejects thousands of personalized license plates every year. Fox 4 News KDFW rounded up a list of rejected license plates in 2022. Here are a few of them that won't be hitting the streets any time soon:

So why do license plates get rejected?
According to the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, there are several reasons a plate mat be declined. If the plate conflicts with a current or proposed plate pattern issued by the state then it will be turned away. In addition, anything considered objectionable or misleading will be declined.
People are not permitted to get vulgar or inappropriate words on their personalized license plates. For example, no swear words are allowed.
Derogatory terms are not permitted, and you can't get anything that refers to illegal activity like gangs, violence, or implied threats.
