The mysterious individual referred to as "Danny Sandler" is known for sporadically showing up on streets across the country dressed as various Sesame Street characters to threaten individuals walking by. According to SF Gate, Sandler, dressed as the Cookie Monster this time, was recently spotted shouting at locals and tourists in Santa Cruz. The masked individual caused such a scene that police urged the nearby population to avoid him. The Santa Cruz Police Department took to Facebook to warn followers of the occurrence.

Sandler has been seen in Sesame Street attire shouting at people on the streets of Los Angeles, New York, and in Hawaii, but has never actually committed a crime.
