After keeping the world on the edges of their seat, Rihanna finally made her grand entrance at the 2023 Met Gala.
On Monday night, May 1, the "Lift Me Up" singer was the last guest to show up on the red carpet along with the father of her two children A$AP Rocky. She's the only person who has Anna Wintour's permission to arrive fashionably late, but she still had enough time to turn heads with her stunning look. Rihanna wore an all-white Valentino strapless gown with a silk cape, a massive 16-foot train and white sunglasses to pay homage to the late Karl Lagerfeld.
Riri arrived to the red carpet while wearing the silk cape on her head before her man Rocky assisted with her big reveal by unbuttoning the cape. According to Entertainment Tonight, Rihanna's cape was created by 30 seamstresses and contained 30 Camelias, 500 petals and 25 leaves. Once the cape was lowered, fans could see the bulk of her dress along with her new baby bump. Rocky decided to sport a black suit jacket, a kilt and jeans. He also paid tribute to Lagerfeld by wearing a single black glove and sunglasses.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky's Met Gala experience comes a few months after the Grammy award-winner confirmed she's pregnant with baby number two during her Super Bowl Halftime Show performance. While she was on the red carpet, Riri told ET how "good and energetic" she feels about this pregnancy.
"It's so different from the first one," Rihanna said. "No cravings. Tons of nausea. Everything's different, but I'm enjoying it."
