And just like that... the latest chapter of Sex and the City is coming to an end.

SATC creator Michael Patrick King announced on Friday (August 1) that the groundbreaking show's sequel series And Just Like That... will end at the conclusion of the current third season, per E! News.

Following the news, many of the show's stars reacted to the series officially ending after three seasons. Sarah Jessica Parker shared a lengthy, heartfelt message on Instagram reflecting on the nearly 30-year journey she has been on portraying Carrie across multiple series and films.

"Carrie Bradshaw has dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years," she said. "I think I have loved her most of all. I know others have loved her just as I have. Been frustrated, condemned and rooted for her. The symphony of all those emotions has been the greatest soundtrack and most consequential companion."

She added, "MPK and I together recognized, as we have in the past, this chapter complete."

Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, who reprised their roles as Miranda and Charlotte, respectively, on AJLT, also broke their silence on the show's abrupt cancellation, Page Six reports.

"I can't believe our wild beautiful And Just Like That ride is almost over," Nixon wrote on Instagram. "It has been such a delight from start to finish. I will miss working with these people everyday SO incredibly much but know we will always be a part of each other's lives."

Davis shared a message to her Instagram Stories noting how "profoundly sad" she was to see the series end.

"I love our whole beautiful cast and crew. 400 artisans working so hard on our show with deep love," she said, adding an emotional thanks to fans of the beloved series for their support over the decades, writing, "we love you forever and ever."

Kim Cattrall also seemingly reacted to the news in a cryptic message on Instagram, sharing a photo of a sunset over water alongside emojis of a heart and lips and a note stating, "It's the end of a very long week." Though she starred as Samantha in the original SATC run and its spinoff movies, she was largely not a part of the revival series, only appearing briefly in one episode of AJLT.
