Florida actress and vocalist Sofia Carson is a Disney Channel regular and a singer with a dance-oriented pop style. Born Sofia Daccarett Char in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1993, Carson grew up the daughter of Colombian immigrants. At age three she began taking dance lessons and in 2001 made her stage debut as Dorothy in a Miami stage production of The Wizard of Oz.
