Pete Davidson opened up about his breakup with ex-fiancee Ariana Grande (again) on Saturday Night Live — only this time with more affection and maturity.

During last night's (November 3) Weekend Update segment, the 24-year-old comedian cracked a few jokes about the political candidates in the running in the upcoming midterm elections before closing his bit with a note about his split from the pop star.

"The last thing I’ll say, I know some of you are curious about the breakup, but the truth is, it’s nobody’s business,” Davidson said. “Sometimes things just don’t work out and that’s okay. [Ariana's] a wonderful, strong person and I genuinely wish her all the happiness in the world. Now, please go vote on Tuesday.”

Just as his bit was about to close, Davidson quipped, "I'm still a great song though!" (Ari named a song after him on her album Sweetener.)

Since their split in mid-October, Davidson has used the breakup in comedy routines.

His latest shenanigan earned him some backlash earlier this week after he mocked his proposal to the "Light Is Coming" artist in a promo clip for last night's episode of SNL, to which Ari responded with this scathing (now-deleted) tweet: "For somebody who claims to hate relevancy u sure love clinging to it huh."

Hours after the episode aired, Ari expressed her gratitude for her ex-boyfriends — Pete included — on a sentimental new sendoff called "thank u, next." On the record, she sings: "Even almost got married/ And for Pete I’m so thankful." The track appears on her upcoming fifth studio album of the same name.
