Tours all over the world have been canceled as the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread, and The Killers are one of many artists impacted by the outbreak.
The band took to social media Monday (March 16) to update fans about its upcoming tour — slated to come to North America in August.
“A quick note to say that tickets for our late summer/fall shows will not be going on sale just yet. The news is changing every hour around Coronavirus and, ultimately, we want you, our fans, to stay focused on prevention and remaining safe and cautious right now,” the beginning of the note read.
The Killers also announced that once the tickets are available, “we will be providing a portion of our ticketing income to local organizations who help people whose service industry jobs are impacted by the Coronavirus in each of our tour cities.”
The band ended its statement letting fans know it will continue to monitor everything and let them know if and when things change. Fans can keep watching the band's social media accounts for ticketing updates.
In the meantime, Brandon Flowers uploaded a truly iconic hand washing video while singing the band's smash hit “Mr. Brightside” as he lathers up his hands and rinses them off under the tap.
