In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the Grammy Museum has had to close its doors to the public. But although the museum is temporarily closed, it's found another way to engage with music fans around the globe.
Starting today (March 18), the Grammy Museum dug into its archives and is offering never-before-released content online for free. Such content will include interviews from the likes of Billie Eilish (available April 1), Greta Van Fleet (available April 4), X Ambassadors (available March 28), Brandi Carlile (available March 30) and more.
“I believe, now more than ever, while we're all being responsible and practicing social distancing, nothing can bring us together more effectively than the power of music,” Michael Sticka, Grammy Museum president said in a video. “For the first time ever we will be releasing a number of our public programs from our archives, we'll have educational opportunities, and engagement activities released every week, and every Friday a new online digital exhibit.”
The museum has a variety of new content to share on its website on different days and fans can check out the schedule below:
Sunday And Tuesdays: Music Education Lessons And Activities
Monday, Wednesday, And Saturday: Opening Our Public Program Archives
Thursday: Member Engagement Nights
Friday: At-home Exhibit Exploration
Eilish, who had to postpone her tour, recently took to her Instagram Stories to share her concerns about the coronavirus and urged her 58 million followers on the platform to take it seriously.
