On Monday (May 4), YUNGBLUD dropped the second video in his Stay Home With: YUNGBLUD docuseries. Every Monday the alt-rocker will drop a new video that gives fans a glimpse into his daily life while under quarantine and this one centered on songwriting.

While the alt rocker has completed his sophomore album, he talks about how inspiration has helped him continue to write while he's stuck in California with his guitarist Adam, his photographer Tom, and his manager Gavin.

In the beginning of the video, YUNGBLUD calls up his producer to share some new lyrics with him. “I know we finished the record but I'm so inspired right now,” he explained. Fans then get an unfiltered look at what it's like for the musician to go from an idea to putting the words to a melody.

Ever the one to stay connected with his fans, the “Weird!” singer documented his time surprising fans with a short video chat. As you'll see in the video above, he talked to fans from all over the world. “God, I love them all so much,” he said after chatting with 50 fans.

Later in the video, YUNGBLUD calls his mom for an emotional FaceTime session that may have you reaching for tissues. Like many, the singer was forced to miss a funeral and had to watch a live stream of the service instead. “It's bizarre not being there,” he said. Like any good mom, YUNGBLUD's mom had some great advice for how he's been feeling while cooped up thousands of miles away from his family.
