On Monday (May 11), YUNGBLUD uploaded episode three of his quarantine documentary series, Stay Home With: YUNGBLUD.

In the video, the singer geared up for the release of his newest single, “Weird!,” and opened up about the anxieties around releasing new music for the world to hear and judge.

“I feel very scared. Every single time I put out something new, it comes back to, 'what if they forget me? What if they don't like it? What if they hate it?'” he explained. “There's this underlying pressure of everything all the time.”

He went on to describe how quarantine has been stressing him out and how he keeps getting in his own head especially because he can't just go for a walk to clear his head — which leads to finding quiet time and decompressing in the bathroom.

Thankfully, as the video progresses, YUNGBLUD's spirits are raised thanks to his manager and photographer who surprise him with a “Weird!”-themed party on release day.

Later in the video, fans get their first listen of a new song called “The Lonely And The Broken” which he workshopped in episode two. Fans get to see YUNGBLUD's reaction to the song as well as he saved listening to the demo for the docu-series.

Some of the lyrics include: “There is a broken heart/ Hidden underneath the broken car/ A frightened fallen star/ An empty table by the bar.” Fans first got a taste of the lyrics in an April 1 tweet by the singer when he teased them without context.

“'The Lonely And The Broken' is on its way. I had a couple of problems because obviously I'm not there, not in the studio,” he said in the video.

While we don't have a release date yet for the song, it seems like it's well on its way to being finished soon!
