The day we've all been waiting for has officially arrived: season 2 of The Umbrella Academy has a release date!

On Monday (May 18), Netflix made the announcement via a video from the Hargreeves siblings dancing to the unofficial quarantine theme song, “I Think We're Alone Now.”

The video opens with Tom Hopper (“Luther Hargreeves”) tapping his arm to the beat of the song before panning to Emmy Raver-Lampman (“Allison Hargreeves”) sitting on her bed. Then we see Robert Sheehan (“Klaus Hargreeves”) sprawled out on a table with a wooden spoon in his mouth before it moves to Ellen Page (“Vanya Hargreeves”) looking pensively across her living room while sitting on a red couch.

Next up, David Castañeda (“Diego Hargreeves”) is seen on his couch playing with a Starbucks coffee stopper as if it was a dart. Even Justin Min (“Ben Hargreeves”) makes an appearance. Lastly, we see Aidan Gallagher (Number Five) cheers his The Umbrella Academy coffee mug to the camera and then we finally get an all out dance break from the whole cast.

If the dancing wasn't enough to make you break out into a huge smile, toward the end of the video, Justin Min can be seen holding a poster with the official release date of season 2: July 31, 2020 (watch until the end to see a hilarious blooper).

Seventy-four days and counting!

The Umbrella Academy's second season was first teased in February when Netflix released new character posters. But it's been pretty silent since then!

For even more good news, The Umbrella Academy creator/My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way has revealed he's working on volume four of The Umbrella Academy comic series — which means more material for future seasons of the show! Plus, a spin-off comic series about “Klaus” will be released this summer.
