Halsey Shares Full Original Version Of 'Wipe Your Tears' To Celebrate Pride

Halsey is truly the gift that keeps on giving.

On Sunday (June 14), Halsey surprised fans by “leaking” a new version of the Manic deep cut “Wipe Your Tears” as a gift to LGBTQIA+ fans this Pride Month. The song was officially released as an exclusive bonus track on the Japanese version of the album and it's a wlw anthem.

Halsey seemingly shared the audio without permission from her label and we are truly blessed for it.

“Prolly gon get in trouble for this but, happy pride ! here’s the full OG version of wipe your tears,” she wrote on Twitter. “My favorite wlw song of mine that ended up on a special release of Manic 🤷🏻‍♀️ if it gets taken down it ain’t my fault.”

The original version of the track is about 30 seconds longer than the official audio and features a second verse: “It's so bad but it's digging in my shoulder/ make me so mad but I'm keeping my composure/ got your naked pictures and I keep 'em in a folder/ Know if I delete 'em I'll regret it when I'm older.”

If that wasn't enough, after a fan replied that this version is superior to the official one, Halsey revealed there is a THIRD VERSION of “Wipe Your Tears” and I am not well. 

“There’s actually 3 versions of this song in existence hahaha. You guys have 2 of them now,” she wrote.

Of course, fans started demanding she release the third version and she jokingly replied back that fans were being ravenous and also casually mentioned the third version has a feature.

“Omg pls I jussssst leaked the 2nd lemme breathe y’all ravenous. I can’t I’ll get in too much trouble cause it has a feature hahah,” she wrote.

“Ok you knew what you were doing when you said it has a feature now we just want it more why do you hate us,” one fan replied while another wrote, “GIRL ARE U KIDDING ME U CANT JUST DROP THIS INFO ON US.”
