A New Paramore TikTok Trend Just Got Hayley Williams' Seal Of Approval

TikTok has gifted us with some pretty iconic videos featuring music from our favorite artists and we can now add Paramore to that list.

One fan received the Hayley Williams seal of approval after the Paramore lead singer saw her spot-on TikTok featuring the band's After Laughter track “Fake Happy.”

In the video a fan, by the name of Emma, played the pre-chorus of “Fake Happy” while wearing a mask and crinkling her eyes so it looks like she has a huge smile plastered on her face under a mask. But once she removes her mask, she's not smiling at all. “I've gotten pretty solid at fake smiling,” she wrote as the caption.

For anyone unfamiliar with the track, Williams explained that “Fake Happy” was inspired by her hatred of phoniness and sometimes having to subject yourself to being fake. “It’s not fun to be around, it’s not fun to do yourself. But then there are these moments in your life where you’re professional and you have to have grace with yourself, you have to have grace with other people and work hard, but it’s that self-preservation thing, she said at the time.

On Tuesday (July 28), Williams saw the video and wasted no time retweeting it after loving what she saw. “officially endorsing this trend,” she wrote in her retweet.

Following her tweet, William's hair dye company, Good Dye Young, replied “interesting,” which lead to the 31-year-old singer commenting, “oh god dont make me.”

Now we must wait and see if Williams is forced to recreate the new TikTok trend (fingers crossed!). In the meantime, I'll definitely be sending her my own version of the trend.
