BTS is dropping another album this year!
The K-pop superstars have announced their next music project will be titled Be (Deluxe Edition). The band’s next LP, which follows February’s Map of the Soul: 7 and July’s Map of the Soul: 7 — The Journey, releases on digital and streaming formats November 20.
Per an announcement shared by Variety, BTS stated, “The new album imparts a message of healing to the world by declaring, ‘Even in the face of this new normality, our life goes on.’”
“For this album in particular, the septet took a step further and was involved not only in the music making process, but also in the overall production: concept, composition, design, etc.,” adding that the group’s newest project “reflects the thoughts, emotions and deepest ruminations of BTS while working on the album. This new project offers an even richer musical spectrum experience as well as the most ‘BTS-ish’ music yet."
The album announcement comes just a month after the South Korean boy band issued their first English-language track, “Dynamite,” on August 21. Considering BE is described as a Korean-language album, it’s unclear whether “Dynamite” will appear on BTS’ next full-length release.
So far, the septet has released three singles in 2020: “Black Swan,” “On,” and “Dynamite.” As previously reported, BTS will feature on a new remixed version of Jason Derulo and Jawsh 685’s “Savage Love,” which premieres this Friday (October 2).
In related BTS news, last night marked the kick-off of their week-long takeover on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
