Guy Fieri Stops By Grand Opening Of His Nashville Restaurant

TV personality and mayor of Flavortown Guy Fieri stopped by Nashville on Wednesday (August 4) for the grand opening of his new restaurant Chicken Guy!, per WKRN.

Chicken Guy!, located on Second Avenue downtown, offers a selection of all-natural chicken tenders, skewers, sandwiches and salads and is known for its more than 20 house-made sauces, from Curry Mayo to Fieri's signature Donkey Sauce.

"If we're gonna bring great freakin' chicken, I'm gonna bring it to the epicenter [of] chicken, which is Nashville," he said. "All I had to do was have that Prince's hot chicken experience 20 years ago and I knew one day that I'd be back, I hoped I'd be back, and here I am."

The restaurant was one of several businesses along Second Avenue that were damaged during the Christmas Day bombing. After temporarily halting construction, crews got back to work preparing it for a summer opening.

"You can't keep Nashville and 2nd Avenue down, and with Chicken Guy!, we're proud to be gettin' this party re-started," Fieri said in April.

In addition to Chicken Guy! in Nashville, per WKRN, Fieri and FACE Hospitality are also partnering together to open Downtown Flavortown, a new concept in East Tennessee.
