A man in South Carolina is celebrating after winning a big prize in a scratch-off lottery game.

According to The State, the man, whose name was not released by officials with the S.C. Education Lottery, plans to reduce his work schedule after hitting the jackpot in the Pink Sapphire Payout game. He purchased his winning $5 ticket at the Sav Way store on Second Loop Road in Florence, about 65 miles northwest of Myrtle Beach.

The state lottery said the odds of winning the scratcher's top prize is 1 in 750,000, but the man's luck led to him scoring the $200,000 prize. He claimed his prize and took home $138,000 after taxes.

"I'm super, super, super happy," he told lottery officials.

So what does he plan to do with his newfound winnings? Like many others before him, he hopes to cut back on work.

"I enjoy working," he said. "But I'll work a little less."

The unnamed man joins others in South Carolina who recently won big prizes in various state lottery games. Last month, a Midlands man won $200,000 after purchasing a last-minute Cash 5 ticket. And in May, a Spartanburg woman was on a road trip through North Carolina when she purchased a Power 10s ticket and won the $1 million prize.
