A major sporting event that once transformed Music City into a wrestling haven is returning to Nashville next year.
The WWE recently announced it plans to kick off its 2023 winter touring schedule right here in Nashville, bringing its popular WWE Raw event to Bridgestone Arena on Monday, January 2, per FOX 17. There will also be nearby events like the Sunday Stunner in Kentucky, the Saturday Night's Main Event in Mississippi and another Raw in Alabama.
Check out WWE Raw's website to see the full lineup for 2023's live events for its winter tour. Tickets for the tour go on sale Friday, November 18.
While Nashville may not typically be known for professional wrestling, January's event won't be the first time the sport has shined a light on Music City. Earlier this year, WWE brought its famous SummerSlam event to Nashville for the first time ever in July, transforming Nissan Stadium into a giant wrestling arena.
The weekend also made headlines as the being the setting for 73-year-old legendary wrestler Ric Flair's "last match," where he set out to "prove once again, that to be the man, you've got to beat the man." The match was so eventful, in fact, that he even passed out twice.
