Julia Fox Says Dating Kanye West Negatively Impacted Her Career

Julia Fox says that her past relationship with Kanye West has negatively impacted her acting career. During her appearance on Emily Ratajkowski’s High Low with EmRata podcast, the Uncut Gems actress discussed her short-lived and highly-publicized romance with the controversial rapper.

“After the big relationship, I definitely noticed a shift in the acting way, not in a good way,” she said. “I’m not getting as many offers as I was before, weirdly. Maybe because… liability, ‘She’s a tabloid type of person,’ like, I don’t know what it is. But that was something that I noticed, and I was like, ‘Okay, this is weird.’ There’s been a lot of weird drawbacks, here and there, with reaching that level of notoriety.”

As you'll likely remember, Fox and Ye briefly dated after meeting at a New Year's Eve party in Miami. The new relationship cause a stir as the rapper had recently split from his ex-wife Kim Kardashian. Soon after going public with the relationship, Ye shared a series of Instagram posts trying to win back his wife. Fox ended the relationship about six weeks into their romance.

The actress went on to say that she's not going to quit her career despite the setbacks. “I’m so busy. I think things come to you at the right time, so that’s why I’m really not stressing. I really don’t care," Fox said.

Later in the podcast, Fox also revealed that she's working on her memoir. "I’ve wanted to write a book my entire life. I really always wanted to do it, and I thought that it would be easier. But I’ve found that my memory is so unreliable that it feels more like an investigative journalism moment. I really wanna stay true to the facts, you know?”
