Lindsay Lohan has revealed the real reason she's hit the breaks in her music career over the years. During a recent interview with Who What Wear to promote her new Netflix holiday film Falling For Christmas, Lohan shared that she actually slowed down on her music career for her sister Aliana Lohan.

"I slowed down on the singing because my sister’s biggest passion in life is singing, and I really wanted her to have that path and didn’t want to distract from that at all,” Lohan revealed. Eager at the chance to support her sister, the star even arranged to have her sister's song "Without You" featured in the movie. Ali also sings a version of "Jingle Bells" for the film's soundtrack.

When asked if fans can ever expect a follow-up to her 2005 album A Litte More Personal (Raw), Lohan replied, "If you hear music from me, it will hopefully be in a movie musical." However, another pop album isn't completely off the table for her. "I’ve done a ton of songs that are sitting, waiting. Maybe five years down the line, I’ll do another album," she teased.

In the meantime, fans can hear her vocals on a version of "Jingle Bell Rock," which was also recorded for Falling For Christmas. Lohan's upbeat version of the Christmas classic also features rapper Ali Tomineek.

Following the holiday film, Lohan will next star in Netflix's Irish Wish which will be released next year. "It’s a bigger movie in a sense,” she said. “It’s a lot more physical comedy. I get to really go deep. It was nice for me to be able to go there because I had to get my feet wet and do Falling for Christmas, and I really wanted to push it more for this one. The one thing that I haven’t done that I’d really love to do is enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That’s my dream.”
