Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has "made progress" in his recovery from a knee bone bruise and is expected to play in his team's Week 2 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, head coach Andy Reid said on Wednesday (September 13) via NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe.
Kelce, who was inactive for the Chiefs' loss to the Detroit Lions in the NFL Kickoff Game last Thursday (September 7), is scheduled to participate in practice in a limited capacity, according to Reid.
Additionally, All-Pro defensive tackle Chris Jones, who recently ended his holdout after reaching an agreement on a new deal, will also practice on Wednesday and is expected to play on Sunday as well, according to Wolfe.

DT Chris Jones will practice and expected to play too.
Good early news for KC ahead of Sunday vs. Jaguars.
Kelce was ruled out about two hours before kickoff last Thursday after initially being reported to be doubtful two days prior, though NFL Network's Ian Rapoport specified that the injury wasn't expected to keep him out long-term.

Reid told reporters that Kelce hyperextended his knee during practice and was listed as a limited participant last Tuesday (September 6). Kelce hadn't previously missed a game since his rookie season in 2013 and his absence was critical for the defending Super Bowl champions, who experienced several key dropped passes in the loss.
The 33-year-old was selected as a first-team All-Pro for the fourth time and a Pro Bowler for the eighth time in his career in 2022, recording more than 1,000 yards for the seventh consecutive season, a record for the tight end position, while also leading all tight ends in receptions (110) and receiving touchdown (12).
