Kim Kardashian Channels Late Father Robert As 'GQ Man Of The Year'

Kim Kardashian is gracing a magazine cover in a way we've never seen from her before! For GQ's "The 2023 Men of the Year Issue," The Kardashians star is channeling the style of her late father Robert Kardashian with dapper suits and ties. In addition to the stunning new photos, Kim also sat down for an interview in which she remembered what she learned from her father before he passed away from esophageal cancer 20 years ago.

“He always wanted to look cool,” Kim said of her father's fashion. She also mentioned the Encino clothing store Body she worked at in her teens. “Diesel was one of the brands we carried. They had a cool pair of jeans. They were wax-coated. My dad’s office was really close by, so he’d always stop in. He said, ‘I have to have those.’ I got them for him. He would wear them with just a black T-shirt and a loafer.”

Kim went on to reveal an emotional conversation she had with her father in his final days. “I know you’re going to be okay,” she recalls her dad telling her. “It’s almost like I can see ahead. I know you’re going to be okay, but just take care of your siblings for me. Just make sure you take care of them.” She added, "I took what he said to mean that I was going to be okay in life. But it made me make decisions differently.”

Her mother, Kris Jenner also said some kind words about her ex-husband in the interview. “This man had style,” she said. "The first gift Robert ever got me was a fancy Canon camera that I could never figure out how to use. The second gift he got me was a beautiful Gucci bag. I was a flight attendant at the time, and I was just so excited.”
