Christina Aguilera slammed body critics amid "intense scrutiny" over her appearance, shining a spotlight on Ozempic rumors.

The "Beautiful" songstress sat down with Glamor on Thursday (August 15) to discuss motherhood, the accomplishments she's most proud of, and harsh assumptions associated with fame. Aguilera skyrocketed to stardom nearly 25 years ago, and is no stranger to a constant flow of opinions being shared about her life online. Much has change since she released "Genie in A Bottle" in 1999, including how she deals with judgment.

"I have a maturity now where I just don’t give a f*** about your opinion. I’m not going to take it on. It must be your responsibility to take up your space. Other people’s opinions of me are not my business."

Rumors of alleged Ozempic use began to flood the internet in early 2024 after multiple videos were posted in which fans were concerned about the hitmaker's apparent weight loss. People immediately took to the comment section of a TikTok shared on May 19, to express their thoughts on the star's shrinking waistline stating, "I had no idea who that was! She doesn't look like Christina anymore," and "Best Ozempic results to date."

Others were quick to compliment the artist quipping, "The way she looks exactly like she did 20 years ago but with better eyebrows," and "XTINA BEEN THAT GIRL!"

Speaking on the 25th anniversary of her first album, Aguilera candidly revealed that she's grateful for how her career has progressed, and highlighted the hard work she's put in to get here.

"I think the biggest word that sums up that first record for me is grateful. Being thankful because it got my foot in the door. After 25 years I’m so proud of it. I think to sustain anything for a lengthy amount of time takes a lot of work and dedication and passion. There are many elements that go into being able to build something."

One of her greatest accomplishments to date is being a mother to children, Max Bratman, 16, whom she shares with ex-husband Jordan Bratman, and Summer Rain, 9, whom she shares with fiancé Matt Rutler (per People).

The "Lady Marmalade" icon referred to parenting as "interesting," citing how incredible it is to watch humans "grow up."

"They’re going to make their own choices and mistakes that define how they want to be. It’s such a layered, interesting thing to be a parent and watch these people, these humans, grow up."

Aguilera is slated to take the stage as part of a two-date run of shows in Las Vegas, Nevada (after returning home from a few performances in Japan) on August 30th.
