DDG and Halle Bailey have broken up after two years together.

On Thursday night, October 3, the YouTuber-turned-rapper took to his Instagram Stories to announce that he and the mother of his newborn son Halo have gone their "separate ways" following "much reflection and heartfelt conversations."

"This decision was not easy, but we believe it's the best path forward for both of us," DDG wrote. "I cherish the time we've spent together and the love we've shared. Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other."

The couple will now focus on being co-parents to their son. Halle Bailey and DDG welcomed their baby boy into the world in December but they announced his arrival in January. They did their best to keep their incoming child a secret from fans despite the ongoing rumors about Halle's pregnancy. Shortly after the couple revealed their son, DDG explained how he was able to shield his journey into parenthood from the world.

"It wasn’t that hard," DDG said. "It was harder for me than it was for her for sure because she don’t really be on social media like I do. Social media is what I do. It’s why I’m here today."

“This is one of my biggest accomplishments and I wasn’t able to show it for real for real but it was for a better ’cause people weird,” he continued. “People are way too much in my business, our business, at this point in time. So, definitely for the better and it made it a lot easier, bringing him into the world without a bunch of opinions.”

DDG and Halle Bailey first got together in 2022 after they were spotted at Usher's residency in Las Vegas. The couple made it official that same year. While there were plenty of incredible moments in their relationship, Halle Bailey and DDG also faced cheating rumors that eventually evolved into speculation about their alleged split. Earlier this year, fans began to chatter again after they realized the artists unfollowed each other on Instagram in April.
