Tell Me About It With Jade Iovine

Tell Me About It With Jade Iovine

Tell Me About It is the podcast manifestation of all the “off-the-record” conversations we’ve had with other women about things we’re taught to stay silent about -- from stumbling through our twenties, rejections, heartbreaks, fertility struggles, mental health challenges, mistakes, and the cringey shame spirals that keep us up at night. Host Jade Iovine and her guests challenge the idea of social media perfected lives and get very real about all the less-than-perfect and inevitable shitty moments we all go through. Tell Me About It is here to remind us that we’re not alone… and that the women we constantly compare ourselves to ALSO have lives that are far from perfect.

Catherine and I were admittedly unhinged this week on our Live From Bed episode. We had a lot on our minds before we leave each other for two weeks and had some urgent things we had to discuss with you:

We talked about…

Sex is great but have you ever cancelled a plan?

The scary truth about being a bridesmaid

Accidental emasculation

Jade teaches Catherine everything she knows about plastic surgery…from experience

And, why you shoul...

Hunter McGrady is such a dreamboat. This conversation was expansive, honest, so funny… and truly nothing was off limits. We talked about the challenges and shame that can come with finding a wedding or bridesmaids dress for a curvy figure. We talked about 2020, during which Hunter not only welcomed her first child but was a time when her life came to a crashing halt with the unexpected loss of her younger brother. She shares how sh...

This week Catherine and I got INTO it. We laughed, we cried, and we talked about the do’s and don’ts of the most recent source of friendship-breakups: Venmo. How long can/should you wait to Venmo someone? What exactly IS that soul-crushing feeling of getting an unexpected Venmo request. Are you allowed to decline a Venmo request if you feel it was unwarranted? THESE are the things that are keeping me up at night!

I confessed to C...

Casey is a dream TMAI guest. First of all, she, like me, is fluent in Real Housewives and dropped the most shocking Housewives truth bomb in this episode that absolutely shook me to my core. Secondly, she wrote one of my favorite books, The Wreckage of My Presence, in which she generously details ALL of her cringiest moments and bad feelings. She also shines a light on a formative childhood experience that she and I both went throu...

After spending millions and having her life and career nearly destroyed, Michelle shares her first-person experience escaping the world of Scientology after decades of devotion and abuse.

Listening to Michelle’s story I found each turn more shocking than the last and I am sure your jaw will be on the floor, as mine was, hearing each harrowing detail.

She has survived and endured so much and I feel so strongly that this story ...

Trigger Warning: This episode is about abortion.

As most of us recently learned, the Supreme Court is threatening to overturn Roe v. Wade.

This news is heavy and jarring and, as someone who has had an abortion, I know firsthand how triggering this very public debate can be.

I needed to get my thoughts out and vent to you guys about what this decision really means, just in case any of you feel the same. You might be curious ...

How much sex is enough sex?

Are my s/o and I doing it often enough? What if we went on vacation and forgot to have hotel-room sex? …is that bad?

This week I sat down with my producer Catherine and spilled all the stuff I’m too embarrassed to talk to my friends and fiancé about. Like being the best friend of someone falling in love and how annoying it can be when suddenly all plans revolve around the new fling, my reasons behi...

This week we called in icon, legend and neuropsychiatrist Dr. Louann Brizendine to help us understand why we do the things we do:

  • How a woman remembers fights that a man insists never happened
  • Why thoughts about sex actually enter a woman’s mind less often than they enter a man’s
  • Why women use more forms of communication per day than men
  • How a woman over fifty is more likely to initiate divorce than a man
  •

    Dr. Brizendine was amo...

I’m convinced Laura Clery was sent from above to make sure no woman felt alone in a shitty feeling ever again. We talked for over an hour about everything from chronic people pleasing, redefining “rock bottom” with addiction, ADHD, to abusive relationships and being brutally honest with ourselves. Speaking of honesty, this episode is a refreshingly truthful and vulnerable one–you’ll laugh, you might cry, but I know for sure you’ll ...

My guest this week needs absolutely no introduction. She is none other than the icon, the legend herself, PARIS HILTON.

This week, Paris and I peeled back the pink curtain and got very real about what it’s actually like to be, well, Paris Hilton. I got a rapid-fire, deep dive with her of pure honesty and a level of openness we’ve rarely heard from her in other interviews. We talked about the abuse she experienced many years ago a...

This week my producer Catherine and I had a lot to catch up on amidst brutal jet lag and PMS. I complained to her about social anxiety and how hard in-person conversations are. We talked about our biggest physical insecurities and how we handle it (or break down) when someone points them out. We dissected the versions of our past selves we wish we could forget, and how much time we waste talking shit about ourselves. And finally, w...

After two long weeks, we are back!! To kick off our NEW SEASON, TikTok sensation and Coral Gables QUEEN Tefi stopped by to commiserate with me. We talked about being depressed (duh), breaking off an engagement (hers, not mine - don’t worry Mom), and Tefi’s experience with disordered eating. We talked about being mean to others, most of the time because we’re mean to ourselves…oh and we talked about nose jobs, too!

We have another spicy LIVE From Bed for you this week! Come hang while my producer Catherine and I Zoom from our beds and untangle my messy list of life events since we last spoke. We talk about Plan B, fitting my “modern family” into a “traditional family” wedding, my first ~clubbing~ experience since COVID, and some things that have been fueling my anxiety.  We also talk about an inspiring run-in with Courtney Love, and debrief a...

If you’re in a long-term relationship, have you ever secretly asked yourself any of these questions?

  • Am I as in love as I SHOULD be with my significant other?
  • Are we having enough sex?
  • Am I settling?
  • Is it wrong that I have doubts about our relationship?
  • What if I’m ignoring red flags? What if we breakup 10 years from now?
  • And what is the healthy amount of doubts I should have?!
  • What is this intrusive voice in my head that second guesses...

Catherine and I talked about open relationships, social media anxiety, and the magical world of mushrooms. Sit back and feel seen as we commiserate about therapist breakups, cohabitating with a significant other, PCOS, and love/hating ourselves.

Uh oh…the TMAI production team has COVID! SO, we’ll be back with a new episode next week and THIS WEEK we’re airing one of my favorite past episodes with comedian Catherine Cohen.

This week’s episode couldn’t have come at a better time. My depression decided to rear its ugly head a couple weeks ago, and no matter how many times I’ve been through this, I have to admit it always scares the sh*t out of me. In this episode, you’ll hear all about my rut… and I hope all my depressed and anxious friends out there can relate…

My guest this week and I talk all about OCD, anxiety, depression, ADHD, Zoloft, Adderall, an...

Dylan is out of town and this week I’m hanging out with my friends…. and this week’s episode is coincidentally all about friendships. If you’re in your twenties, or thirties (or have ever been in your twenties or thirties), chances are you’ve dealt with friendship drama. Friendship breakups, toxic friendships, trying to maintain long-distance friendships — the friendship topic is one everyone’s hungry to talk about. It can feel so ...

Well this is probably the weirdest description I’ve ever had to write. Releasing this episode was just as hard as you can imagine. I went back and forth several times, and even now, I have a lump in my throat and am wrestling with the reality of letting everyone in on this super-intimate experience.

But what’s harder is imagining another woman having to go through this, someone who can’t find a similar story to reference. This is f...
