Speaker 2 (02:12):
Hell right now.
Speaker 5 (02:13):
But but you know, because our immediate family, you know,
would come every Christmas. Everything is still going to be
thirty of us in the crib or twenty of us

A huge.

Speaker 5 (02:29):
Salute to Usher and Chris Brown. Okay, I went to
that tour Jesus Christ. He was out there in the ring.
Well it's not ringing by the time we got there.
But when I say, and y'all can say, no, just
any ether to me, to me, Chris Brown is the
greatest performer ever.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Helloel Jackson. Yes, yes, when it comes to dancing.
Speaker 5 (02:52):
Absolutely, he looked he's Michael Jackson on crack like think
he can do what Michael Jackson does, and he can
add an actual to it. He could add this different style.
He can make hip hop it. She can make it
uh contemporary, like he gets busy and I've never seen
nothing like that in my life. So I just want
to tell you the show was many. It was a
little weirdgo with my daughter. I took my twenty four
(03:14):
year old matter old you. It was a little weird
because you know, it's the souls you and you in
the love mode, right, you just.
Speaker 7 (03:19):
Want to see what I've been saying.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
So it's just like we just she just looked like that.
Speaker 12 (03:23):
I like this one.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
It's a date night.
Speaker 12 (03:25):
It is.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
He just used her because he is out. But I
still wanted to go. I still wanted to go.
Speaker 5 (03:32):
But it was when I say, an amazing time and
oh my gosh. So Friday night I with it. Saturday
night Logan with his girl.
Speaker 12 (03:39):
Right.
Speaker 5 (03:39):
So Friday night he brought out fifty cent. They brought
out Tank, Eric Bell, and Joe. Who else came out there?
Jady Kiss came out, Fat Joe came out. Saturday he
brought out Mary j Blo, Nothing Man, a shanty, Fat Joe, Jadakiss,
a Boogie Mario. It just show was amazing. If you
(04:00):
get a chance to see it, it's action packed.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
There is no openers, right.
Speaker 5 (04:04):
They had Jacqueize up in there, Jeff Jafquie was there,
salute to DJ Fresh.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
DJ Fresh opened it up and then he was kind of.
Speaker 5 (04:13):
Like the I want to say he did he played
like that I want to I don't want to say halftime,
but the little uh little breaks, but a little intermission.
It wasn't even like a long time, but he played
that in the DJ Fresh Killer. I had an amazing
time and tell us if you are single, that is
the place you.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
Need to go.
Speaker 11 (04:30):
That's why guys don't like ves going by themselves. You know,
that's a real thing, like let their wives go along.
Speaker 5 (04:39):
What when I say, if you're a single guy, you
need to go to the Usher? And you got different
ages like if you like him young as twenty two
year olds, I know if you like them allly sixty
year olds listen black white Asian list something for usher.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
There's something for Chris so many. I was women.
Speaker 5 (04:58):
I was uncomfortable because you know they checking me out,
you know, because I look on, let's get the show
cracking today. Uncle Luke will be joining us. Luther the Campbell.
You know, he's running for Brown County's twentieth congressional district.
So early voting is happening now. So Uncle Luc will
be joining us, and from Wu Tang Clan Inspected Deck,
(05:18):
they will be joining us. A lot going on today,
so let's get the show cracking. Today is my brother,
Michael Bivens bark my birthday, right? Can we play some
Michael Bivens. Hey, I was begging for Chris Brown to
bring me up state so I could dance battle.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
I was my I was the thing now for they
be humping up there.
Speaker 5 (05:41):
I wanted to dance battle. Whatever advance work like, Here
I go. It's the Breakfast Good morning morning everybody.
Speaker 12 (05:46):
It's dj n.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
V Jess Hilariy Chelamage the guy. We are the Breakfast Club.
Let's get in some front page news. Happy birthday, Michael Bivens.
Today is Michael Bivans birthday. Started off with some poison.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
What's uping to me? Good running?
Speaker 13 (05:59):
Indeed, Jes Lauren, how you doing this morning?
Speaker 11 (06:04):
She says out.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
Man, Okay, well, good morning.
Speaker 13 (06:06):
How y'all doing this morning? Good morning?
Speaker 8 (06:09):
So we start in Washington, where while you were sleeping,
the Senate confirmed Todd Blanche as the nation's new attorney general.
So the vote came just before lawmakers left town for
a five week summer res So President Van Trump's former lawyer,
he won confirmation in a narrow fifty to.
Speaker 13 (06:26):
Forty nine vote early Saturday morning.
Speaker 8 (06:29):
Now, this ends a lengthy standoff between Senate Republicans and
the Trump administration. Republican Senators Susan Collins and Lisa Rakowski
they joined every Democrat and voting against Blanche, leaving Louisiana
Republican Ocacidy to make the deciding vote. Now, Branch's confirmation
comes despite criticism over his handling of the Jeffrey Epstein
(06:50):
files and Epstein survivors and their families. They're calling this
confirmation a slap in the face, and they're also taking
aim at senators who voted to put him in charge
of the Justice Department. Let's listen.
Speaker 14 (07:02):
It's a very chilling message that they are sending across
the country and to the survivors that are in their
very district. It's telling them that the end of the
day that they will not vote for them, they will
not fight for them, and they will not hear them.
I think the country really needs to pay attention to
every single senator that votes yes for Todd Blanche and
(07:26):
they need to keep that in mind when they're headed
to the polls this fall.
Speaker 5 (07:29):
Now this is crazy because this is Trump's god right,
He's the one that established a one point eight billion
dollar anti weaponization fund for Trump.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
He's also the one that.
Speaker 5 (07:37):
Sued the Irs, but were like eighteen billion dollars or
something like that, so weird.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
So ten billion dollars TuS got yeh.
Speaker 8 (07:44):
We also made that deal so Trump's family would not
be have to be prosecuted as well going forward with
his tax returns. So there was a lot of hesitation
to confirm him, and as you mentioned, he faced resistance
for that one point eight million dollars anti represation fund.
The funds were supposed to compensate people who say they
were unfairly targeted by the federal government and Republicans of course,
(08:07):
they were worried that the money could have going to
families who committed crimes to January sixth, and so they
had some backdoor deals. Eventually they got enough Republicans on
their side and top Landage was confirmed over the weekend.
So yeah, and really quickly, we have another food safety alert,
gurrowing groundles, come on, I know, no, sorry, just but
(08:32):
this one involves a company we've already been talking about
Taylor Farms. That's that massive food supplier that was linked
to the Cyclosporia outbreak. Well now they were calling more
than a dozen products over a samonella outbreak, and so
this time the concern is jalapenos. And we brought this
up a little bit last week, but were we have
more information. So they were called products. They include salsed dips, squacamole,
(08:54):
and other prepared foods sold at major grocery stores including Kroger, Walmart, Target,
we Whole Foods, and Trader Joe's. And the products were
sold in twenty six states. They have best buy dates
of August sixteenth. A Taylor Farm says it stopped getting
jlapenos from the farm in Mexico believed to be the source.
And remember again this is semonella. This is separate from
(09:16):
that cycle Sporia outbreak. But Taylor Farms, they are under
scrutiny for it's iceberg lettuce that was linked to the
Cyclosporia outbreak. The FDA says potentially contaminated lettuce was also
distributed to Subway. I know we talked about Taco Bell,
but Subway locations also in July.
Speaker 13 (09:34):
So if you have Taylor Farm salsa, guacamole or.
Speaker 8 (09:38):
Other prepared foods with jalapenos and refrigerator, check the label
and the date before you eat it.
Speaker 5 (09:44):
Yeah, this is very concerning the fact that this is
like the second and third time this year we've heard
Tailor Farm's name. Now, shouldn't they be doing some type
of regulation when this food comes out? Or is it
just we just got to trust everybody that's putting foods
out because the fact that you know, we're talking.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
Salmonella, we're talking what's the expulsive di area. This is scary.
Speaker 7 (10:01):
That's a big distribute.
Speaker 13 (10:02):
It is very scary.
Speaker 8 (10:03):
It is very scary, and they usually have, you know,
checks and balances on that.
Speaker 13 (10:08):
But we're told that because of some of the cuts.
Speaker 8 (10:12):
From the Trump administration, some of these food born illnesses
are no longer being monitored and this is kind of
what we're getting right now. So yeah, and okay, you
guys coming up at seven, a woman is in the
hospital after a crash, but it's who is behind the
wheel that has everyone talking. So we'll get into that
at seven.
Speaker 5 (10:31):
All right, everybody else, get it off your chest eight
undrink five eight five one oh five one. If you
lead the vent, call us up right now. Let us
know how your weekend was. It's the breakfast club.
Speaker 1 (10:39):

your chest. Call eight hundred and five eight five five one.

any women.
Speaker 12 (11:19):
You know.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
I was coming my head straight, head, head on the swivel,
straight to where I was going. And then I was
with my daughter.
Speaker 5 (11:24):
When I'm with my daughter, I moved.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
A little differently. Well I'm with myself. I'll stop. I
joke a laugh, but when I'm on my baby girl
and I get it right to it. She needs to
be safe. I'm sorry I didn't take your picture. I'll
probably even hear you. That's okay.
Speaker 16 (11:36):

loved Pitt Brown.
Speaker 16 (11:42):

Speaker 17 (11:44):

like one over the other, but they were both really great.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
They said Russia had a clone, but that was a clone.
That was a show. You didn't do it.
Speaker 16 (11:55):
I didn't think that was a clone.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
I don't know it was a It was a long
should though. It was. I mean, we started a little lady,
but it was great.
Speaker 5 (12:05):

the women in there?
Speaker 12 (12:10):
Not me?
Speaker 17 (12:10):
I was with my home and I was I kept
it class.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
Did you see all the women in it?
Speaker 8 (12:15):

Speaker 2 (12:16):

thank you?
Speaker 18 (12:25):

Speaker 5 (18:01):

Speaker 5 (18:14):

Speaker 19 (18:20):
Brazy, right, because I remember I used to like August
out Sina, and now he's yet.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
Isn't that crazy?
Speaker 19 (18:31):
So I can finally like fall in love and we
can live happily ever a stuff?
Speaker 16 (18:36):
But no, wait, real quick, real quick, wait it's.
Speaker 19 (18:40):
Lauren, yes right here, Oh Lauren, Lauren, Lauren, you know what.
Speaker 16 (18:45):
I am mad at your.
Speaker 17 (18:46):

Speaker 19 (18:50):

Speaker 12 (18:59):
But we hung up?
Speaker 2 (19:00):
But no, no, he don't, he don't like this. Yeah,
I know.
Speaker 19 (19:05):
He's said I better not call a brother talking about him,
But no, he's a cool dude. Like I'm about to
go to Lana for my birthday for two weeks because
I need a birth like I've been cupcakeing.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
Forever, so.
Speaker 19 (19:22):
I you, I always try to check in with him
when I go to Atlanta.
Speaker 5 (19:27):
All right, too much informations, a lot of cakes. Just
just so y'all know, when he said DJ, he wasn't
talking about me. He's talking about Laurence friend DJ.
Speaker 2 (19:37):
No, no, no, he was not talking about me.
Speaker 5 (19:40):
He said he's going to Landa to geint some other cakes.
That's not me, that's not me.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
You accept him every other.
Speaker 5 (19:45):
That's not no, no, no, get it off your chest.
Eight hundred five eight five, one oh five. When we
got the ladiest with Lauria coming.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
Up, we do.
Speaker 11 (19:51):
Usher is not a clone, y'all. He has spoke out
the fact that he even had to like address this.
But the concert must have been a good time because
people couldn't believe he pulled off.
Speaker 7 (20:00):
He pulled off, he addressed the rumors. We're gonna get
into it.
Speaker 2 (20:02):
It was dope and he changed up.
Speaker 5 (20:04):
You know, usually he brings you know, a woman on
stage and Cherry he changed that up for New York.
Speaker 2 (20:09):
We'll talk about it too.
Speaker 7 (20:10):
We're talking about.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
To get to it next at the breakfast club good.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
What are you las.
Speaker 4 (20:20):
You particularly of bringing the energy to mainstream radio, the
black radio.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
That sources trust. Did you hear that?
Speaker 7 (20:26):
Friend, I'm a homegrow that knows a little bit about everything.
Speaker 24 (20:28):
In Harry should be having the latest on things you asked,
the questions that need to be an.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
On the breakfast clubs.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
Little Brown girls look at you and go I want
to be like you.
Speaker 20 (20:37):
Hello. Cool.
Speaker 11 (20:39):
So Usher and Chris Brown Immy has been talking about
it all morning because he's just so.
Speaker 7 (20:44):
Sweet by the guys. He has such a good time
at the concert.
Speaker 11 (20:47):
They were here at MetLife Stadium Friday and Saturday.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
Friday night and shold out show sold up.
Speaker 7 (20:54):
Talk about it okay. So Friday night, I know he
brought out.
Speaker 11 (20:57):
Jada Kiss I saw fifty it there Uncle Murder, Tony
Yeyo as well with them little Baby.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (21:04):
So.
Speaker 11 (21:05):
There was a lot of fans though that were trying
to figure out throughout this weekend with Usher, whether he
is a clone or not. There was one fan who
posted a video on TikTok and was like, Usher, that's
crazy how you did this, and claimed that Usher had
a doppelganger. And I think, I mean you guys said
you went to the show. What I took from it
was people, well the video that was supposed to TikTok.
(21:25):
They were saying that the person's face and like his
body language and just some of the movements weren't Usher.
Usher wouldn't win his head down there like I ain't
never see him with his head like that, like Neil.
Speaker 7 (21:35):
I printed photos from the moment that made people feel like.
Speaker 5 (21:39):
The reason why I did not think that this was
Usher because he would never wear nothing like that.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
Did you say that?
Speaker 1 (21:45):
Nah?
Speaker 2 (21:46):
But you like he fell in the puddle at the
gas station's stupid?
Speaker 7 (21:48):
Like you know what I mean?
Speaker 5 (21:49):
He was bringing it back to like I seen, like
when he first stepped out, he had the white mink
on and then he changed something.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
It's kind of like the styles of the videos that
he's done to those songs.
Speaker 7 (21:57):
But I have never seen Usher with any of this.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
That's Usher.
Speaker 7 (22:01):
This cannot be. This is not us.
Speaker 5 (22:03):
He danced right like right on right on that little
stage right in front of me.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
So you could tell us stage right in front of Yeah, exactly.
It was a bunch of different stages.
Speaker 5 (22:14):
So Usher performed, of course in the main stage, and
then when everybody's not looking, he performs at the stage
like in the crowd.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
You seen it, yeah, yeah, yeah, we were.
Speaker 5 (22:22):
Sitting in that kind of that rafter right there, so
we were able to see it up close and personal.
Speaker 11 (22:25):
Well, some of the videos that we posted actually from
the Power one five one, which is our New York
stations Instagram or what went viral, and Usher commented on
our posts and said, y'all are funny. Clone question mark.
They can't clone this. Then he said, how y'all come
up with this? AI ain't that advanced?
Speaker 9 (22:41):
Like out for the government, and be like watch this.
We can't we can't call.
Speaker 11 (22:46):
You okay, yes, but yeah, so m B, I know
you mentioned that he switched it up.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
Uh the night that you were here.
Speaker 5 (22:53):
Yeah, So the night that I was there first and
foremost salute the DJ Fresh He actually opened the show
and got the crowd ready. Uh, Usher and Chris Brown
they came out together. Chris came out first and did
this song together, and then Usher came out the first
night like I said. They brought out fifty Cent, they
brought out Little Baby, they brought up Mario, No, not Mario.
They brought out Eric Belinga and Tank and Jade Kisser,
Fad Joe. And the second night, I didn't go, Logan
(23:15):
actually went and they brought out Mary j Blig, Yeah, Fire,
they brought out Future, That's crazy, Shauny.
Speaker 11 (23:24):
Baby, the audio, anything that you wanted to play. So
let's listen to fifty Cent. This was the first night.
This was Friday Night with Envy was sare. Let's say,
listen New York Crazy.
Speaker 5 (23:34):
Wid But the way he even did it, he didn't
do full verse, full songs, so they went right into
the next song and the crowd just went crazy whole time.
Speaker 11 (23:41):
Was he on the stage with them as well when
they were like rapping this stuff because people don't know
ushers are really big.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
Rat like Rat family. No, he was.
Speaker 5 (23:47):
He was on the stage, that was in the crowd.
Fifty was on the stage, that was in the crowd.
And that was like during the intermission. I don't want
to give it up for people like, but during the
show when they go like when they both go off states,
the lights go off, lights come on, and then artist
will perform, like you don't even know when the artists
can perform. It's not like they bring it out in
certain occasions. Just the artist pops up and performances. It's dope.
And like I said earlier today to me, to me,
(24:10):
Chris Brown is better than Michael Jackson. Yes, he's better
Michael jack He's the best performer I've ever seen with
say it like his hands down.
Speaker 2 (24:20):
You've seen a lot.
Speaker 11 (24:21):
Of different genres and eras of music and performers. She
definitely says you was antique, like when you said I
trust you because you've been right there, like you've literally
seen it.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
A lot of us might have seen it from a distance.
The stories and.
Speaker 5 (24:34):
Chris Brown is Michael Jackson on crap right, And I
say that is he can do everything that Michael Jackson
can do, the moves and all that stuff, but he
does it on a different level. Like he has the acro,
he can flip, he can fly in the air, he
does the crump, he does the hip hopcket.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
I don't know about the fight.
Speaker 12 (24:50):
He does the.
Speaker 5 (24:51):
Contemporary like he breaks every dance style into his movements.
Into me, better than Michael Jackson, I don't care care.
Speaker 9 (25:00):
I mean, I got and they disagree with you to
a certain extent. But now I get like you, said
Michael Jackson on Crack.
Speaker 5 (25:04):
I do with that like they can't tell. They can't
tell that boy shoes like and the fact that he
just got off tour and does this every night, flies
in their hell for thirty minutes.
Speaker 11 (25:13):
And because he does not stop dance, that's why people
thought switching it back to you like but Usher on
the same side, that's why people the fans thought Usher.
In my opinion, a lot of people thought Usher was
a dopplegangerl because it's like, how are you able to
keep going? Because that's not a lot of like acts
in between even you go see him, And when I'm
to go see him in Vegas, it was like that
as well too. Now I do have audio from the
moment he switched it up with the couples versus bringing
(25:35):
the girls on stage.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
He got tired. He want to do it in Jersey.
Speaker 5 (25:38):
So Usher said it tonight, since you've been getting on it,
we're gonna do a little different. He found a couple,
gave the brother cherries and was like, no, hold your woman,
and the old woman then they started tongue kissing and
the crowd went crazy. Then he gave then gave Cherry's.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
And the guy gave it.
Speaker 16 (25:54):
That.
Speaker 5 (25:55):
You know, he did that, I think twice last night.
That's twice Friday night, which was which.
Speaker 7 (25:58):
Was pretty Actually like that that should actually happen.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
He should do that both.
Speaker 9 (26:01):
He should do the lower rendition for the single ladies
and then do a couple like definitely, I thought that
was dope.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
Saturday.
Speaker 5 (26:07):
I think he went back to what he was doing
and did it.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
But I saw dream Doll on stage with Chris Brown.
Speaker 11 (26:12):
Okay, I was she was good. Speaking of renditions, I
know we gotta wrap this, but there was a video
circulating of John Queeze. He was on Young Jack's Streets
in the morning show with mis Shaanika talking about why
he was not on this tour.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
Let's take a listen.
Speaker 9 (26:28):
All right, Well, let's get the business, because I want
to understand why you ain't a part of the R
and B tour.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
Do you feel like.
Speaker 7 (26:34):
In this industry that you are overlooked?
Speaker 21 (26:37):
Well, I feel like I'm overlooked at times of course
that I want to be on the R and B
to of course that would have been dope. But you know,
I don't think I would have been singing background like Mario,
you know what I'm saying and tanking all that stuff.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
Cut it out.
Speaker 12 (26:47):
People like it.
Speaker 21 (26:50):
Like he said, I just wouldn't be doing that, because
she was like, why you're not on the R and
B tour And I'm like, the guys is on the
R singing background.
Speaker 12 (26:56):
Shout out to them, you know what I'm saying. But
I wouldn't be doing that.
Speaker 21 (26:59):
Respect respect though, and Tank my dog, Eric Bellinger my dog.
Speaker 2 (27:03):
I hope CV bring me up.
Speaker 16 (27:07):
Too.
Speaker 21 (27:07):
But if TV brought me out to be harder because
I came from up f under his wing.
Speaker 10 (27:11):
If they said we will bring you out a song,
but I do want to do the dance routine and
do a little bit of background with them.
Speaker 20 (27:19):
Who else singing background?
Speaker 2 (27:21):
And TV?
Speaker 12 (27:21):
I do that? Okay, So it's U TV in that
other group. It's a group. Why do you call the group?
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Go look at the footage.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
Brother?
Speaker 9 (27:28):
First of all, you don't worry about it because you're
not going to be on this tour, jaquezi.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
But why you can't turn around.
Speaker 9 (27:36):
You can't say stuff like that and then be like, oh,
my brothers like now they my dogs, and yeah, like
if he if he asked me to come out, then yeah,
come on, you just you can't do that. I love
and respect with Mario Tank earned by Eric Bellinger. I
love what they're doing because it's it's like it's no ego,
like this is a stadium tour. What you know how
many people per night were performing in front of.
Speaker 11 (27:57):
Eric Bellinger said that when you're responded to this, he said,
it's a out getting out in touch with people.
Speaker 7 (28:01):
It's like seventy thousand plus people.
Speaker 5 (28:03):
Not only that they were background singers and background dancers, right, yeah,
they absolutely were like they were in the outfits and
they they they choreographed their moves, which was dope.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
But each individual got there.
Speaker 5 (28:14):
They sat on stage in front of seventy sixty seventy
thousand people. Everic Bellinger performed Friday night, Tank got out there,
took off his shirt and performed.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
Of course, and when I mean the crowds went crazy.
The crowds went crazy.
Speaker 5 (28:28):
So I love Jack Queize, but this is not background
singing for a d list, are right, this is Chris
Brown and Usher.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Like a legend.
Speaker 7 (28:37):
One is a legend already. You know when is legendary.
Speaker 5 (28:41):
I know they heading to Toronto to perform. But if
y'all listening and y'all on your way and y'all need
a background singer, yeah, howey dancer.
Speaker 11 (28:48):
I don't know about you with me and Jess, God
are you already see but Jess's black and she has
rhythm and things.
Speaker 2 (28:52):
You you do this one little move. They don't want that. Yeah, yeah,
and they don't want that. Tank responded to.
Speaker 11 (28:59):
He says he's been making a hard and unpopular choices
for thirty years, but this will landing him in front
of seventy thousand people. Well he don't need his envy
up there looking crazy and embarrassing us.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
All all right, that's the tank kill the too.
Speaker 5 (29:08):
Tank killed it, kill it, and.
Speaker 2 (29:12):
Tank will pop out and kill it.
Speaker 7 (29:13):
So that is me doing comedy and dancing and singing.
I'm like, damn exactly.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
On this one. I'll be with him sometimes, but not
on this one.
Speaker 12 (29:21):
All right.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
Well that's the latest with Lauren.
Speaker 5 (29:22):
Now when we come back, we got front page news
and Charlemagne is out, so we're gonna do the people's donkey.
You can get get on the phone lunch right now.
Eight hundred five eighty five, one oh five one. If
there's somebody you want to give donkey, it's the Breakfast Club.
Good Morning's warning.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
Everybody, It's DJ Envy.
Speaker 5 (29:36):
Just hilarys Charlamage the guy.
Speaker 2 (29:38):
We are the Breakfast Club.
Speaker 5 (29:39):
Let's get in some front page news. What's uping to me?
Speaker 8 (29:43):
Good morning, Envy address Lauren, how y'all doing this morning?
Speaker 19 (29:47):
Good?
Speaker 2 (29:48):
All right?
Speaker 8 (29:49):
So we're gonna start with a reality, very sad and
unfortunate story.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
It's out of Mississippi.
Speaker 8 (29:54):
That's where a family is searching for answers after twenty
nine year old Tas your Fortune was found hanging from
a tree behind an abandoned home in Jackson, so Ataja.
She is a mother of four, and her family says
they had just been with her days before. A mother
at last saw Tasa July twenty sixth at a family
reunion in Kentucky, and she says her daughter was doing
(30:15):
better than she had seen her in a long time
and seemed to be at peace. But eight days later,
on August third, Taja was found dead. Her mother says
that she does not believe that Taja took her own life,
and the family isn't alone in calling for a closer look.
Speaker 13 (30:30):
At what happened now.
Speaker 8 (30:32):
Jackson City Council Member Kenneth Stokes he is asking the
US Attorney's Office to step in and investigate TAJA's death,
saying that there are still too many unanswered questions.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
Let's listen.
Speaker 18 (30:44):
We send a letter to the US Attorney's Office ask
her for help to make sure we catch and contree the.
Speaker 12 (30:54):
Person of persons were hanging a young lady and jack.
Speaker 18 (31:03):
Hangings in the world of Mississippi where you think in
matill in others, it's just it's a bad word.
Speaker 2 (31:10):
So shouldn't that somebody should say something.
Speaker 9 (31:14):
Yo, So nobody saw anything. There are no ring cameras,
there's no nothing. How do you how are you found.
Speaker 7 (31:20):
In your hanging hanging in your backyard?
Speaker 8 (31:23):
Nobody seems it wasn't abandoned like a vacant house, and
so uh, yeah she was. There was a lake, remote
area or uh you know, it's a place where maybe
no one lives. But one of the questions is how
she ended up there, because it's sadly to say firefighter
(31:44):
t has.
Speaker 13 (31:44):
To use a ladder to bring her down. That's how
high show.
Speaker 8 (31:48):
So police are investigating, but they have not said what
they believe happened or how she died. The medical examiner
is conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death
and the manner of death and.
Speaker 13 (32:00):
Just some more important contexts around this case.
Speaker 8 (32:03):
She's the third person in less than a year to
be found hanging in from a tree in Mississippi. So
you know, the other two desks authorities ruled war suicide.
But you know, none of these are connected. It's what
the authorities are saying. But you know, right now investigators
are still just trying to determine how Taja died.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
So yeah, I'm with Jess.
Speaker 5 (32:23):
I mean, with the amount of cameras, with the amount
of ring cameras, with the amount of things, there's nothing.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
Not seem no leads on any of this.
Speaker 5 (32:30):
And it's the same thing I feel is that the
gun three person like with oh, with all this stuff happening,
it feels like they'll find cameras on the smallest things.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
But on these huge things, nobody has nothing, nothing at all.
Speaker 8 (32:42):
All I got to say is this is Mississippi and
we are still waiting on results from Nolan Wells.
Speaker 13 (32:49):
I'm not, you know, implying that anything of Faius is
going on.
Speaker 8 (32:51):
I'm just saying that, you know, it seems they just
see they don't have to.
Speaker 9 (32:58):
We definitely see it, like we see you can't. You
definitely can't hide this from nobody. That's crazy. And then
it's high up as you said, her body was for
them to have to get use a ladder, like yeah,
absolutely not come on now.
Speaker 8 (33:12):
Yeah, So they are waiting for results, and that that
city council member there, he said that, you know, he
feels like they need federal assistance, and maybe why he
feels that way is something that we need to look
into as well, because he says that he doesn't feel
like this is something the state of Mississippi should has
is going to be able to handle. On he's asking
for federal authorities to come in and investigate this more. So,
(33:34):
there's also that and really quickly we now turned to Oakland,
where authorities are trying to figure out who should be
held responsible after two young children took their parents' car
and hit a woman while she was walking a dog.
So if Alice say the brothers, uh, they are six
and four years old, investigators say they took their parents
car while they were sleeping and drove several blocks from
(33:56):
their home, so Theyalan's video shows the car speeding down
the street, hitting another car, and then striking a woman
with the dog before crashing into a wall and a fence. Now,
the woman's sister says that she is in ICU and
has a long road to recovery. Let's listen really quickly.
Speaker 25 (34:12):
Is currently suffering from multiple brain bleathe and facial fractures,
and we're just hoping for a truth speedy recovery for her.
Speaker 2 (34:24):
Yeah, that's that's sad. I don't know about the parents
being charged.
Speaker 5 (34:27):
Well, it's a difficult one because I don't Most people
their parents calls, right, I remember taking my parents mom's call.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
You took yours long. You took your mom's call. Yes,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 5 (34:36):
So I think everybody does it, like we know where
the keys are, we take the car.
Speaker 13 (34:40):
These are children six and four years old.
Speaker 2 (34:43):
See, damn, I totally missed those ages. I was.
Speaker 11 (34:46):
I had a toddler incident when my mom's car she
but I didn't take it per See. She left me
in the car and I got in a dyver seat
and tried to do what I saw her do. And
I rolled down a hill and take in front of
a house. Nobody was injured, though, but there was like
a whole thing because it was like, why would you
leave your kid in the car with yeah stuff, but
I was like maybe like four and just curious doing so.
Speaker 8 (35:08):
In this situation, police are questioning the parents and trying
to figure out the really right now because the kids
are so young. There's nothing they can do criminally. They're looking,
you know, maybe civilly they can do.
Speaker 5 (35:19):
Something, but yeah, crazy one thing in the Bay Yo,
if they ain't breaking in your car, it don't matter
what it is. What's going on they like Oakland and
Cause like the Bay and the cause that's that's their
thing over there, and they're breaking there real quick.
Speaker 2 (35:37):
And then they tell you it ain't even a crime.
Speaker 9 (35:39):
And in the crime, they're breaking the car unless you
catch the same person doing it three times.
Speaker 2 (35:43):
That's what they tell you.
Speaker 9 (35:45):
Yes, they tell you that when you set to run
a car place you're sure you want to get okay,
because people will break into it and it's not really
a criminal offense until you catch them three times.
Speaker 2 (35:54):
So I don't know what the hell's going on on
the Bay Area. That sounds ridiculous, sounds very very crazy.
Speaker 8 (36:00):
Okay, well that is your front page, niggas, and we'll
be back tomorrow with more stories. But I will continue
to flush this one out because I really want to
find out what's going to happen to these children and
if the parents will be held liable for this young
lady who is you know, man rock there.
Speaker 12 (36:14):
That's it.
Speaker 2 (36:15):
That's all for six, Thank you so much.
Speaker 5 (36:17):
Now when we come back, Uncle Luke Luther Campbell will
be joining us. He's running for Brown County's twentieth congressional district,
so uh we'll be joining him next. And also Charlomagne
is out today, so if you want to give somebody
donkey of the day, you can get on the phone
lines right now. Eight hundred five eight five one o
five one for the people's donkey from the People's donkeys donkey.
Speaker 2 (36:38):
Since you see you was like grazy, it's the breakfast Love,
good morning morning.
Speaker 5 (36:44):
Everybody is dj en V just hilariyous, Charlamage the guy.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
We are the breakfast club law on.
Speaker 5 (36:49):
The roses here as well, we got a special guest
in the buildings. Indeed y'all might know him is Uncle Luke.
But ladies and gentlemen, Luther Campbell is here. He's running
for running for your congress.
Speaker 12 (36:58):
Good morning, I wish I was I wish your vote
for what y'all in Florida?
Speaker 23 (37:01):
You and me.
Speaker 12 (37:01):
Oh man, that's a beautiful thing.
Speaker 23 (37:03):
So that's official endorsement, right, Yes, I appreciated the endorsement.
Speaker 12 (37:07):
Yes, endorsement, endorsement. Oh okay, that's great.
Speaker 24 (37:10):
Why would you not want somebody who's from the community,
born and raised there, has invested so much in it.
We've seen you do so much for your community, just
as a as an artist and as a man. So
why wouldn't I want that as an elected official?
Speaker 5 (37:22):
From the gift bags to the teaching to the kids
in football and so many different things. Why wouldn't we
want somebody from the community to run the community.
Speaker 12 (37:31):
Yeah, I mean it's common sense.
Speaker 23 (37:33):
I mean that's what I'm running on, the fact that
I did all those things in the community more so
and buying me But I live in Browarod, you know,
brow for the last fifteen years, and that's what I'm
running on. I'm running on my record, the things that
I've done, you know, built parts, you know, twenty six
million dollar parts, another sixteen million dollars being one of
(37:55):
the one of the founders of Southern hip hop, you know,
small business. You know, I'm more proud of the people
who work behind the scenior. Other than discovering the pit
bulls and the trick daddies and getting them boys off
the street, you know when they were going the wrong direction.
You know, I'm more proud of the guys behind the scene,
like Jeff Sanchez working for the NBA and Big teach
(38:17):
owning you know, a house of mac chain and all
those things like that, and those type of things that
you know, I want to bring, you know, to my district,
bring you know, federal funding there unlike anybody else have
ever did before, you know, and do some good things
for brow count.
Speaker 5 (38:35):
And I was looking at Googly running for Congress or
what it would cost. Now there's no direct course, but
it says running for Congress is very very expensive.
Speaker 2 (38:43):
Now, how has that been for you?
Speaker 5 (38:45):
Because I'm sure whoever you're going against is probably sponsored
and raising money like crazy.
Speaker 2 (38:50):
So how has that been for you?
Speaker 23 (38:51):
Yeah, Debbie washermon Shoots came into the race from another district.
You know, she came in the race with three million dollars,
was fifteen million dollars in pack money. Her money combined
to all the other opponents that are in, all the
other people in the race, you know, triples the amount
of money that we all have.
Speaker 12 (39:12):
You know, I got into the race.
Speaker 23 (39:14):
I originally looked down my list of contacts in my
phone and I said, well, I got.
Speaker 12 (39:20):
These guys, these guys, these guys, and.
Speaker 23 (39:21):
I really only need by a million or two with
this one, this one and doing this fundraiser with Ludacris,
I'm doing the fundraiser with Ross, I'm doing the fundraiser
with cal it And I thought I was gonna be
able to raise millions of dollars and I didn't. I
didn't because most people came to the fundraiser for a
photo while you know, and I have a good time,
and a lot of people didn't really understand a lot
(39:44):
of people don't understand, you know, how important it is
to UH to put money into campaigns. I guess the
only person that understands Chili with Donald Trump when she
made you know.
Speaker 2 (39:55):
What about that?
Speaker 12 (39:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 23 (40:00):
I did, you know, But when I look at where
we're at right now today, she was smart enough to
put money on what candidate that you liked, Whether we
like that candadate or not, But why the rest of
the hip hop, why the rest of this culture, you know,
didn't jump on a race like my race. You know,
I've called up comedians and talked to their husband Black
(40:24):
comedians and say, hey, look, I need to do a
fundraiser with you, and they said, oh, well, you get
into politics. But at the end of the day of
representing the body of people that are purchasing your tickets,
which don't make.
Speaker 12 (40:38):
Any sense to me.
Speaker 23 (40:39):
And so you know, when I look at this race,
I say, are we hypocritical? And then I think about
it from the standpoint of is the culture ready to
move into politics?
Speaker 12 (40:50):
You know?
Speaker 23 (40:51):
And I know everybody, whether it was Black caucus, White caucus,
you name it, they're always looking at those fundraisers to
see how how they generate funds for a race like
that to say yes, you know, you know the culture,
this us representing all of our life is now, you know,
(41:11):
moving into a place where we are really serious about politics.
Speaker 5 (41:15):
I think we're starting to have those conversations now. I
think it's we're a lot of late, We're a lot
of late coming to the table. We're having those conversations,
you know, A lot of people, you know, their first
thing is why don't go give this person?
Speaker 2 (41:25):
He got money?
Speaker 5 (41:26):
But I don't think they A lot of people don't
necessarily know that you need money for advertisement, you need
money for travel, you need money for all the things.
So for people that's listening right now, it says, hey,
we want to support uncle Luke. Right where can they donate?
Speaker 12 (41:39):
Now?
Speaker 2 (41:39):
We'll do it throughout this interview, but where can they
do it right now?
Speaker 23 (41:42):
They go to my website ww dot Luthercampbell for Congress
dot com and make a campaign contribution. I mean, you know,
either I tell people, hey, five dollars go a long way.
Most of the parties look at the five dollars because
the fire dollars are real people that's really really supporting campaign.
Speaker 12 (42:00):
So we look at that.
Speaker 23 (42:01):
I mean, you know this, with this particular campaign, it's
very very important.
Speaker 12 (42:06):
I mean, the world is watching.
Speaker 23 (42:08):
This race, you know, because we have a situation where
we screamed to holler at the Republicans when they jerry
mended the map in Louisiana and Tennessee and Alabama and
took black representation away. Now the Democrats are doing it,
you know, with de Wie Watson Shultz, and nobody said
nothing from the black caucas you know, which I find
(42:29):
to be very hypocritical. But I do understand because it's
elites that they support, you know, and uh, and I
don't think they would want a guy like myself coming
up there to burn it down, because that is in
fact what I'm gonna go.
Speaker 12 (42:42):
Do you know, I'm going there to represent.
Speaker 23 (42:44):
The people, real people, real people who are dealing with
real struggles in their life.
Speaker 24 (42:49):
Do you want people to vote for your ideas or
for the legend of Uncle Luke, because those aren't necessarily
the same thing.
Speaker 12 (42:56):
I want them to vote for my ideas.
Speaker 23 (42:57):
I want them to vote on on my track record,
you know, the things that I've done. You know, I'll
be laughing all the time when I hear Jay Z
record when he say Jay made, I made Mellion, this
one made means. And then I look at my track record,
how many guys that I created and made millionaires, whether
it's through my youth program. Liber City Optimists are just
(43:19):
doing the work in the community bringing you know, stability
and you know, just building and you know, bringing Adidas
to the table to you know, to broke a fifty
million dollar deal for the entire school district for sports,
you know, and those type of things.
Speaker 12 (43:34):
So you know, I don't I don't want people to
look at me as an artist.
Speaker 23 (43:37):
But then at the same time, you can't look at
me as an entrepreneur because the people in my race,
nobody has held the job. They all came and you know, well,
my main opponent never held a job. She went straight
from University of Florida into politics and never had a
never owned a small business. And so I look at
(43:59):
it to say I owned a small business. I did
I do to this day philotropical work you know, in
my community, and that's the most important part of it.
And uh, you know, people run because they have money,
but I really think that you should. When they do
the qualification box, it needs to say how much work
(44:19):
you've done in the community and how many things you've done,
And when I could sit there all day and talk
about all the stuff that I did that most people
don't know. Uh, and how deep I've always been in
the politics because I do understand that you know, our
tax paying dollars, you know, going to the slush fund
they try to.
Speaker 5 (44:37):
Use, you know, Uncle Luther the Rapper against you have
you seen that a lot?
Speaker 12 (44:41):
Not really that And and I was what I thought
they were. I was dead.
Speaker 24 (44:45):
You know, Uh, they in the club to them.
Speaker 11 (44:54):
Because like with the what everything you did with the
Supreme Court, and that's says they want to be like
you've kind of been fighting for people and voices. So
you kind of the reason that we, oh, yeah, that
wouldn't work out for them.
Speaker 2 (45:06):
If they tried, it wouldn't work out.
Speaker 12 (45:08):
And you're right.
Speaker 23 (45:09):
I mean in this climate today, you know, going to Washington,
you got to be a fighter. And so that was
one of the reasons why I say, Okay, the time
is now to run for Congress because of what.
Speaker 12 (45:20):
The climate that you have.
Speaker 23 (45:21):
You got to be a fighter, you know, and fight
for free speech, going all the way to Supreme Court
and winning when I had our Gore and his wife
typical God coming after us, and you.
Speaker 12 (45:32):
Know, and having uh your name it dan Quell mentioned
our name.
Speaker 23 (45:36):
And fighting Nick Navarro and fighting uh the Governor Martinez
and making songs about them.
Speaker 12 (45:42):
You know, that was something serious. Those are real fights.
Speaker 23 (45:45):
And and uh, I'm not I'm not scared of anybody,
you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 12 (45:49):
I'm not scared of Trump.
Speaker 23 (45:50):
You know, we all probably went to a party other
than going to when he was a Democrat. You know,
Marco Rubio a good friend of mine, you know, so
I know I can go have some conversations with those
people about some of the things that our district need, in.
Speaker 12 (46:06):
The country need.
Speaker 9 (46:07):
It's funny that you say, you know, you reached out
to certain you know, comedians and people, and the first
thing needed was get shopped, like, oh my god, no,
you're going into politics. When I saw a quote that
you said, politics don't only happen and Washington, DC.
Speaker 7 (46:22):
It happens every day at your kitchen table.
Speaker 9 (46:25):
And a lot of times people don't even realize that, Yeah,
you are into politics.
Speaker 7 (46:30):
But when I first got the job, I thought I.
Speaker 2 (46:32):
Didn't know anything about it.
Speaker 9 (46:33):
But you know more than you think, you know, you know,
can you expound doing like the politics being every day
at the kitchen table because some people don't even realize.
Speaker 12 (46:42):
Yeah, most people don't.
Speaker 23 (46:43):
Most people don't realize it because for some reason, you know,
in our community, there's no we just missed the Civics class,
you know what I'm saying. And when I start talking
to people, I have to have those conversations, like even
the artists that support the kill, I have to explain
to them, you know, why fundraised her these different things.
(47:05):
And then going back to your original question, we are
all in it. You know when we sit down at
the kitchen table and we complain about the high cost
of living, the high cost of insurance, and in Florida,
you know, you got insurance that's jacked up on top
of everything else that's jacked up, and so people are
trying to figure out how to balance the budget at
(47:26):
the kitchen table, and it all falls back on politics.
You don't necessary things that you need. So people don't
know that they're in it, but they do know that
they're in it. And one good thing about these people
in my district, they're well aware of the issue. They're
well aware of this woman, Debbie Washington shoes coming and
(47:46):
trying to take away a seat, and everybody has denounced
her on every corner. I mean, because I mean when
you look at people talk about Memphis, right and the
crime rate at Memphis, you know, and not knowing how
it got there. You had Gerald Ford Senior, you know,
the congressman, then Gerald Ford Jr. Congressman, and then you
had a guy named Steve Cohen then ran in a
(48:09):
crowded race of black people, like this crowded race of
black people here and one. And at that period of
time when the Ford family were the congressman, they only
had one hundred and sixty debts, and now that Steve
Cohen's there, they have three hundred and eighty five debts
a year.
Speaker 12 (48:29):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 23 (48:30):
So, these are the things that happen where you have
a representative coming to your district that is not from
the district and don't have any idea of how people
functioned on a regular basis.
Speaker 24 (48:42):
I want to go back to what you were saying
about the community qualifying you right, What's something you've learned
coaching kids and serving you know, your community that these
career politicians simply can't understand.
Speaker 23 (48:53):
What they can't understand is taking the budget and applying the.
Speaker 12 (48:58):
Budget to the people in the community.
Speaker 23 (49:00):
I'm saying, so, you know, when I get on a
bus for eighteen years, you know, when my career down down,
I say, I'll go back to my youth program and
start coaching and get on the bus, you know, because
I need to take these kids out of the community.
Because what happened with me, you know, when I was
running hard in the city, my mom sent me to
DC to stay with my brother for a year, and
(49:21):
that just opened my mind up.
Speaker 12 (49:24):
Just taking these kids out.
Speaker 23 (49:25):
Of the community, put them on the bus, taking them
to college, on the college tour around the country, open,
you know, just like, Okay, these kids do look like you.
Speaker 12 (49:34):
You know, so they don't understand that part of it.
Speaker 23 (49:37):
They don't understand, you know, the real touching of people
and being able to, like I say, to get a
trick daddy off the street, come straight from prison and
live with me and pit Bull who's out there hustling
and selling everything you can imagine, you know, and bringing
those people and just putting a hug around them and say, man,
you're special. You God gave you a gift. Use the
(50:00):
gift to your ability. And they don't understand that part.
And then they don't understand vision, I mean simple vision
of Okay, we're gonna you know, like my plan is
like they never expanded the port in sixty years. In
the budget, there's five being the house expand the port
that brings in more jobs.
Speaker 12 (50:18):
They don't understand.
Speaker 23 (50:20):
The common folk don't understand that you know, when you
build affordable housing, what happens we building fordavises.
Speaker 12 (50:27):
We tell the people in the projects.
Speaker 23 (50:28):
We're gonna move you over here, and we're gonna build
these new houses for you. And then when you come back,
you gotta jump through all kinds of hoops, but you
can't qualify to get back in there because they built
it for them. And you know, and that's why, you know,
that's why I kind of went hard last week on
Alonzo Morning yet, because because you know, you can't be
(50:48):
a part. You can't roll around with Trump hood housing guy.
What the brother name got to bring freeze when he
was there in his first administry, and you go into
these government projects and you're going, now, you're you.
Speaker 12 (51:05):
Can't run around Our projects were being cars.
Speaker 23 (51:08):
And then then turn it around and try to run
around with with W. Watson shooters trying to take black
representation away from a district that has held black representation
so many years.
Speaker 12 (51:18):
So they don't they don't understand it.
Speaker 2 (51:20):
I mean, what was it about it that pissed you off?
Speaker 12 (51:23):
Some back?
Speaker 2 (51:23):
I know he endorsed w but he not even from
the district, right.
Speaker 12 (51:27):
No, not even from the district. Don't even hang out
in Bronkwood.
Speaker 23 (51:31):
But but we know that some there are some people
you know that are in there, that are in in
our town, and they're there.
Speaker 12 (51:39):
They're there to take advantage. They're there. They're part of
the UH. You know, they're the black face UH in the.
Speaker 23 (51:47):
White organization that is trying to take over you know,
these housing projects, they're to developers. And you know that's
why my campaign, I ain't take no money. I ain't
take no APEG money. I ain't taking no developers money
because I ready I ain't take no no alligated Alcatraz
developers money. You know, a lot of these people came
to me, I say no. I mean we we all
(52:10):
come from the street.
Speaker 12 (52:10):
If you if you.
Speaker 23 (52:11):
Take something, you know, from somebody, then you got to
pay them back, you know.
Speaker 12 (52:15):
And I ain't. I ain't about to sell out our community.
Speaker 23 (52:18):
And that's why everything about what I'm doing, bringing jobs,
instability to the district is built by us for us.
Speaker 24 (52:25):
You don't want to ask lucause you you fought one
of the biggest free speech battles in hip hop right
well really American history. Honestly, in today's world of social media,
where you got cancer culture and Ai, What does free
speech meaning to you?
Speaker 1 (52:37):
Now?
Speaker 20 (52:37):
Has your definition changed? Because I be thinking some people
need to shut it up?
Speaker 12 (52:40):
Some people do need to shut it I.
Speaker 2 (52:44):
Mean, hey, when I thought it was those social.
Speaker 23 (52:47):
Media, thank god it wasn't those social media because all
y'all boys, you know, they didn't.
Speaker 12 (52:51):
Went to some of my parties. They didn't. They didn't
tell you about it front and center.
Speaker 23 (53:03):
You know, I mean free speech just like you say, yes,
some people do. Some people would need to shut the
but I defended. I mean, so you know, everybody nowadays,
you know, everybody got a platform. They turned on the
social media, they got a platform, and they just running
them out talking about a lot of things and and
and a lot of things that a lot of people
(53:23):
talk about, you know, getting a lot of people killed.
Speaker 12 (53:27):
You know.
Speaker 23 (53:28):
Unfortunately, you know, young people are leaving here because of
some of the things that are being said on social media.
Speaker 12 (53:33):
So you know, I agree, I agree.
Speaker 23 (53:36):
I mean, fighting for free speech, going all the way
to the Supreme Court and winning. I mean, but people
don't realize that case was about parody, where parody was
protected by the First Amendment, and it was much more
of a case for a comedy. Michael Jackson wrote, Uh, uh,
Piel sent a brief in against me.
Speaker 12 (53:55):
Dollar partner sent brief against me.
Speaker 23 (53:58):
Saturday Night Live sent a brief in for me, and
so that's what like, yeah, yeah, brief against us. Yeah,
because he didn't think he didn't think people should do parody. Yeah,
so he had a problem with that, and so they
filed briefs against me to lose my case.
Speaker 16 (54:19):
Uh.
Speaker 12 (54:19):
And then Saturday Night Live because they do all the
you know, satire, so.
Speaker 23 (54:24):
You know, comedians benefit from that. But then the most
important one was, uh, that's isn't want to be? You know,
that's want to be was the I've scene. And so
I had to go back in and get that reverse,
that ruling reverse. If I didn't get the ruling reverse,
then it would be almost like the Man Act. Damn
(54:45):
still on the books, you feel me. And if it's
still on the books, then any rapper right now, are
any artists that are singing records with oh judio o'brown
and this and that and shaking the ass on stage
and doing all the things that I went to jail for,
they wouldn't they would be able to use that case
law to take those records off the show. Put those
(55:08):
artists in jail, and people don't realize that. And that's
why when I when I went on this run, I
was I was like, Okay, I know these artists, you
know who I paid the wait for some money in
this campaign because now we're taking on a whole nother fight.
Speaker 12 (55:22):
And then it's like.
Speaker 2 (55:24):
They're scared that it'll come out publicly.
Speaker 12 (55:27):
I don't know.
Speaker 24 (55:27):
I don't think they don't know if you have, if
you haven't read book, don't know the history, you don't don't.
Speaker 2 (55:32):
That's that's why I don't.
Speaker 11 (55:35):
Know older artists though there because it's not just.
Speaker 2 (55:38):
Young like that.
Speaker 24 (55:40):
I think they know what they don't know to the
extent what you just said just now makes so much sense.
Speaker 2 (55:45):
And even though I knew it, I never thought.
Speaker 24 (55:47):
About it like that. I could have still been on
the book. Could could have harassed in jail, right.
Speaker 2 (55:55):
Yeah, all these records running for the summer.
Speaker 23 (55:59):
Lady Cop, every every explicit record could have you know,
because the president would have.
Speaker 12 (56:04):
Been set in the federal court.
Speaker 23 (56:05):
And I actually when when they when they deemed the
record I've seen, I went right down the street and
did a show. I was like this, I'm gonna go
right down the street and do a show. And the
crazy part about all of it, everything happened in this
district that I'm running from, you know, even though I
lived in Miami, and so I really never repaid the
people of Broward County for acquitting me on all those
(56:28):
cases and and creating, you know, those juries of my peers,
and so that people don't realize this because they automatically
look at the Supreme Court case and thinking that was
the hip hop case. No, the hip hop case was
nasty at it want to be was deemed up scene.
Speaker 12 (56:42):
And and if.
Speaker 23 (56:43):
I don't go get that turned over overturned on a
on appeal, then we're in deep trouble as to where
we're at right now.
Speaker 2 (56:51):
Do you ever spoke to Michael Jackson's people about that
when he sent that in or no?
Speaker 23 (56:54):
It is no, No, I mean you got you gotta
realized at that time I was getting sued by well,
he didn't to me. I got sue by damn George
Lucas cause you know that my nickname as the DJ
was Louce Skywars.
Speaker 7 (57:06):
Wow.
Speaker 12 (57:07):
Yeah, did you have sue by him?
Speaker 5 (57:09):
Did you always knew you were gonna win? Or you
had you thought you were gonna lose. During that time
when you was fighting like crazy, you knew you were
gonna win.
Speaker 8 (57:15):
It.
Speaker 2 (57:15):
Were you nervous because you were fighting everybody?
Speaker 12 (57:18):
I was fighting everybody. I mean it was it was
a fight on all different fronts. I mean because back.
Speaker 23 (57:23):
Then, back then you did not you know, we weren't
cleaning samples.
Speaker 12 (57:28):
It wasn't no such thing. It wasn't nobody. So well,
I got.
Speaker 23 (57:31):
Sample clearance people coming after me. I got you know,
Roy Orbison coming after me. And then I got this
chef Navarro uh in the district right there, he coming
after me. I got the governor, I got Damn Quaid,
I got see the lords, Tucker, I got you got everybody.
I had everybody in the world. So I'm sitting there like,
you know, I'm I'm a little young dude from you know,
(57:52):
Liberty City, you know, two bedroom house and came from nothing.
Speaker 12 (57:56):
You know what I'm saying. I'm just laughing, you.
Speaker 23 (57:58):
Know, because my path was either j uh are you know,
jail in the graveyard, you know, And so I'm laughing
at all this.
Speaker 12 (58:07):
But at the same time, you know.
Speaker 23 (58:08):
I figured I would I figured I would win because
you know, when they do a mill of test day,
you know, in those cases, just a test of what's
acceptable in the in the community. And okay, you got
Playboy Channel, you got Playboy, you got bookstores, you got
strip clubs, and so that's what the community standards are.
Speaker 12 (58:26):
So I knew I was gonna win that. How you
spend millions of dollars? Millions?
Speaker 2 (58:31):
Did you get any of it? Could you sue to
get any of it back back then?
Speaker 12 (58:34):
Or you didn't?
Speaker 23 (58:34):
No, no millions of dollars. I mean, it was crazy,
but but that's the first album. Yeah, yeah, for me,
it was it was about what's going on right now today.
Speaker 12 (58:45):
I looked at it.
Speaker 23 (58:46):
I looked at it because my dad and my uncle,
you know, Jamaican dad and my and my Behaming and uncle.
Speaker 12 (58:53):
You know, they taught me about history, you know.
Speaker 23 (58:55):
So I was the perfect storm, you know, because I
couldn't look at cartoons.
Speaker 12 (59:00):
Made me look at you know, h Rap Brown.
Speaker 23 (59:03):
You knew they you know, the struggle, and they always
told me, say, man, when you get our age, y'all
gonna have invincible change on y'all. You're gonna think you free,
but you're not. So you need to understand black history
and how it works. And so when they came after me,
I knew, you know, here I am, you know, Dice
Clayey and everybody, and Millie Jackson and you name it,
(59:24):
Red Fox.
Speaker 12 (59:24):
Everybody did everything that I did on the record.
Speaker 14 (59:27):
You know.
Speaker 23 (59:27):
But at the end of the day, I'm I'm I
own my own company, you know, and I'm not affiliated
with none of these giants, and I'm making all the money,
you know what I'm saying, I'm manufacturing, distributing, and so
I became an easy target.
Speaker 12 (59:42):
But plus you add on the.
Speaker 23 (59:44):
Politics of it all, with those politicians and saying, little
man want to take this dude down.
Speaker 12 (59:50):
You know, for the sake of record seals. So it
was coming from.
Speaker 2 (59:54):
Everywhere, Uncle Luke Man, make sure you go out and
support them.
Speaker 5 (59:56):
Tell them how they can support hey dollar five dollars,
ten dollars, twenty high.
Speaker 12 (01:00:01):
Yes, I mean all high. Yeah, I mean that.
Speaker 23 (01:00:03):
You know, it's important to go to the website w
W dot Luther Campbell for Congress dot com. Just come
be a volunteer, you know, come knock on some doors
and work at the pole, you know, at the pool. Yeah.
Speaker 24 (01:00:21):
She was like, that's about a quarter because how do
you convince her grandmother, right, who remembers Uncle Luke from
the nineties, that you're the.
Speaker 2 (01:00:31):
Right person to represent them in Washington.
Speaker 23 (01:00:33):
Let me tell you, it's funny, right, because I go
to these farms and I go to these churches, right,
and the grandma again I'm sixty five, right, and the
grandma it's like.
Speaker 12 (01:00:44):
Yeah, I went to your club, Strawberries. You know what
I'm saying.
Speaker 23 (01:00:47):
Yeah, I went to your club, Luke's Beach. And then
if you have and I'm like, Grandma, you know you.
Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
Got said exactly exactly.
Speaker 12 (01:00:58):
So I mean, it is very interesting.
Speaker 23 (01:01:00):
Most other people from South Florida, they grew up with me,
you know, because at the end of the day, I
started out as a DJ with two speakers, and then
I went from two speakers to sixteen speakers, and before
you know it, I'm the one of the first guys
to bring hip hop to Miami.
Speaker 12 (01:01:14):
And so they grew up with me.
Speaker 23 (01:01:16):
So it's like nothing you could tell those people down there,
uh how bad I am, because they was with me
every step of the way.
Speaker 12 (01:01:24):
And even when the government came after me, I was like, no,
we know him. You know.
Speaker 23 (01:01:29):
He used to dj ad the Baby shower and DJ
and the park and all these different things. And we
know where he came from, and so I don't really
have that problem.
Speaker 9 (01:01:37):
You know, I thought I would, but I don't.
Speaker 5 (01:01:41):
People, lu Luther Campbell, It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning,
Let's get right to the latest.
Speaker 4 (01:01:47):
What ros you particularly bringing energy to mainstream radio black
radio sources?
Speaker 1 (01:01:55):
Trust?
Speaker 20 (01:01:55):
Did you that I'm the hungry that.
Speaker 7 (01:01:58):
Knows a little bit about everything to be having the.
Speaker 5 (01:02:01):
Latest anything you ask the questions that need to be
on the Breakfast Club.
Speaker 2 (01:02:05):
The little brown girls look at you and I want
to be like you.
Speaker 12 (01:02:08):
Hello.
Speaker 2 (01:02:10):
All right, y'all.
Speaker 11 (01:02:11):
So we have been talking a lot about our urn
leader and investmentest and Investment invest Fast actually went down
over the weekend in Atlanta, and I'm told that it
was one of their biggest years ever. They had thirty
thousand plus people that the festivals them.
Speaker 2 (01:02:27):
Yes, Now, for.
Speaker 11 (01:02:28):
Those of you guys who don't remember, there was a
bit of a back and forth between Earn Your Leisure
to Richard and Troy and the mayor of Atlanta, Yes,
which we talked about here, did come on the show
and mentioned some support that they were not receiving.
Speaker 7 (01:02:40):
Let's take a listen to them.
Speaker 12 (01:02:41):
Here's the thing in the leadership capacity your face. With
two choices, you either build or destroyed. In the great
City of Atlanta.
Speaker 10 (01:02:48):
We want to make sure that we continue to build
bridges forward.
Speaker 18 (01:02:52):
There is a leader of the city, and I want
to y'all to help us welcome this leader, Mayor Andre Dickinson.
Speaker 12 (01:02:58):
What's up, Atlanta?
Speaker 10 (01:03:00):
He and the brothers earn your leasure of this investmentest.
We had our necessary conversations this week. Atlanta is a
special place as one of one. It's a unique place.
I want you to put your boats in the water
in the atl because we are about to rise the
tide in the a. And so as we go forward,
me and these brothers, we're gonna talk about twenty twenty
(01:03:21):
seven investmentst and how we're gonna talk about the developments
of investing in the city of Atlanta on the south side.
Speaker 5 (01:03:28):
Are y' allready investing in atl.
Speaker 11 (01:03:31):
Well, that was them actually at invest Fest with the
Mayor of Atlanta, and when he talks about investing in
Atlanta and what they're about to do. From what I'm told,
they are working with two hundred Atlanta youth. They welcome
two hundred plus youth from New York City at Earn
your Leaders investmentest and they're working alongside one of the
Mayor's senior advises in order to do so. So they're
(01:03:52):
working within a youth youth initiative that they'll be building
and building within down in Atlanta. So it seems like it,
you know, the converse was a little whatever, but it
worked out.
Speaker 9 (01:04:02):
I was rock here first, but I'm glad that those
brothers did come together and they talked and everything and
they got to actually have a plan in place for
twenty twenty seven.
Speaker 2 (01:04:09):
Yeah, I'm glad. I'm glad it worked out. I'm glad
they get a chance to talk.
Speaker 5 (01:04:11):
I didn't like the whole they tried to make it
a New York versus Well, made no sense. It was
all about, you know, making sure people got the financial
literacy and talking about the generation of wealth and making
sure Atlanta was part of it. So I'm glad they
spoke and I'm glad they worked out whatever they worked out.
Speaker 2 (01:04:26):
Oh yes, one hundred percent.
Speaker 11 (01:04:28):
Now, speaking of other things that went down, and we
watched over the weekend, did y'all watch Drake on stream?
Speaker 15 (01:04:33):
No?
Speaker 7 (01:04:33):
I seen clips. I had shows I was.
Speaker 11 (01:04:36):
I tried to get through. It was three hours long.
I couldn't do them.
Speaker 2 (01:04:40):
I tried.
Speaker 9 (01:04:40):
Yeah, yeah, so Drake he streamed it was three hours long.
Speaker 11 (01:04:47):
Over the weekend. He was celebrating the ninth year of Steak,
which is the online gambling casino situation. Now, they work
a lot with Kick, so he streamed on Kick. Now
there was a lot going on within this stream. Hey,
it was literally like a Drake variety show of sorts.
So he opened it. It was like him paying how
much to the relationship that he has with Stake and
all their big moments. And then he went into an
(01:05:09):
actual stream with a streamer named bend Don who was
really popular. Yeah, but he's become like very synonymous with
Drake and his brand because they're really close.
Speaker 12 (01:05:16):
Right.
Speaker 2 (01:05:16):
So as they're.
Speaker 11 (01:05:17):
Streaming, Uh, Drake is just like doing the Drake things
that he does, the rapper things that he does. And
he has a warning that he throws at some of
his ops in the rap community.
Speaker 15 (01:05:29):
I appreciate all the love. I appreciate the last few months.
It's been incredible for me. You know, I dropped three
on that headtop. These guys are dropping albums. It's like
hello and goodbye. You know what I'm saying, and careful
with that reply because the pen is in drive. I'm
just letting you know that's what I'm on.
Speaker 11 (01:05:43):
Oh god, Yeah, it was really quick, like the street.
He hit a couple of different things.
Speaker 2 (01:05:46):
He also.
Speaker 7 (01:05:49):
Know Drake got he got calm down.
Speaker 12 (01:05:52):
It was Roy.
Speaker 5 (01:05:52):
He could take a couple of shots projects.
Speaker 2 (01:05:56):
Their projects are gone? What like what?
Speaker 6 (01:06:02):
Oh yeah he said it was no clips right, yeah,
clips everybody everybody clips albums are out there.
Speaker 5 (01:06:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (01:06:19):
Well, he also got into a conversation about because you know,
there's been like a rock Nation conversation with Drick as well.
Speaker 2 (01:06:25):
So he mentioned that let's say listen, rock is about
to be clear.
Speaker 11 (01:06:34):
So these moments were very quick. He didn't go into much.
He didn't get into much. He didn't say too much.
But it's very quick. But people are picking this up
because there's been a lot of, uh, you know, online
allegations that there's like issues or not issues. But there's
these lawsuits and these different things happening when it comes
to Steak and Drake. We've talked about that, like the
whole biding things, and people are trying to point online.
People are trying to point to rock Nation, but when
he's mentioned in subpoena is in different things on paper.
(01:06:56):
The only thing subpoena I know of is when he
subpoena Rock Nation.
Speaker 20 (01:07:00):
Guys.
Speaker 7 (01:07:00):
Remember he was upset the Kendrick Marty disappear, so that.
Speaker 2 (01:07:02):
Picked up as well too.
Speaker 11 (01:07:03):
But it got funny. He did a twenty v one.
Y'all know when they do the little dating girls. Yeah,
so he did a twenty v one and on the
twenty v one he actually finally got his goth baddy.
I don't know if you guys remember when he had
sat down with What's Over Bobby atts Off. Oh yeah,
in that interview he said his dream girl was like
a goth baddy. So they brought a god baddy for him,
(01:07:23):
and things got weird. Let's take a listen.
Speaker 2 (01:07:26):
Hello, what's your name?
Speaker 12 (01:07:27):
Literally, I'll call you this is the type of girl
you just let kind of right?
Speaker 2 (01:07:31):
Okay, So your name's pink. Actually just say like pink
like with the hip thing. Okay, yeah, I'll call you pink. Yeah, okay, cool?
Where are you from from? Texas?
Speaker 12 (01:07:44):
Wow? This is just going so well.
Speaker 11 (01:07:47):
So then they get into a conversation about you know
the things that he likes to do in the bedroom,
and he begins to bark.
Speaker 7 (01:07:52):
Let's take a listen to jerk.
Speaker 12 (01:07:54):
Are you into role play like silly.
Speaker 2 (01:07:57):
Silly silly? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I am absolutely by the way.
Speaker 15 (01:08:01):
You can look me down in my eyes if you
say do it, I would believe.
Speaker 1 (01:08:06):
Just give me like one.
Speaker 2 (01:08:07):
Would you bark for me?
Speaker 7 (01:08:15):
I ain't mean sexy?
Speaker 12 (01:08:16):
How did that? Don't balk at me like that.
Speaker 2 (01:08:19):
I'm gonna throw you a helmet.
Speaker 11 (01:08:20):
You make that sound in the bad verm Yeah, I
don't know.
Speaker 7 (01:08:24):
And then used to be out here. I know you
hold it down for Drake and all the light slation
tie barking.
Speaker 2 (01:08:30):
It's crazy. I didn't like that.
Speaker 7 (01:08:32):
Yeah, no, I like, but he's so live, I mean
this whole streaming.
Speaker 2 (01:08:36):
You know what though, because you know it's you can laugh.
Speaker 5 (01:08:39):
You could joke right right, But if you're gonna say
balgle wolf like laugh like put a little dog in it.
Speaker 2 (01:08:45):
He was on there buying bags like he was on
a lot of things. But the thing was a bit.
Speaker 7 (01:08:49):
Much doing in Detroit's own dank.
Speaker 11 (01:08:52):
The weank here and Dank made it to twenty v
one dress new exactly what you. Yeah, I don't know
this whole variety show thing. I know that Drake fans
enjoyed it, but I was like, I was a bit confused.
Speaker 2 (01:09:03):
Yeah, an envy.
Speaker 7 (01:09:04):
When I saw the barket thing, I said, you're gonna
have a rough birthday, you.
Speaker 5 (01:09:07):
Know, you know the things with Drake and I like
Drake ra because I'm a drink fan. Right, But you
want your your artist that you love to look cool
and to be cool. Right, So if you think of
jay Z, he's cool, right, he never not? He does
never not has a cool moment, right.
Speaker 2 (01:09:19):
Wants you to compare him to jay Z? Right, DMX
DMX is cool. There was never not a cool moment.
Speaker 5 (01:09:25):
Look at Nas, you look at even Yay, Right, there's
there's never not cool moments.
Speaker 2 (01:09:30):
Right, if you look and push your t if you
ask my cousin whoever it is, they.
Speaker 5 (01:09:34):
Have moments like you, you're a cool rapper, right, you
go R and B. Chris Brown is always cool. You
can go back.
Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
Michael Jackson's always cool. I just never cool.
Speaker 5 (01:09:42):
But then when you hear Drake or Earth, it just
bothers me. Ye, people might say you're the same way,
You're right because also, no but it.
Speaker 9 (01:09:50):
Also depends on like where he like he got a
different accent for everybody?
Speaker 11 (01:09:56):
Is it hasn't his whole thing always been that, Like
he's like the awkward cool like used to be to
the grass.
Speaker 7 (01:10:02):
See now I got like that.
Speaker 2 (01:10:03):
He's always drink, it's busy, he's nice, he's a he's
a rapper. He's an EMU.
Speaker 5 (01:10:08):
People won't respect him as a rapper at MC when
he does stuff like that because they're gonna remember the
earth Earth earth part instead of the lyrical part.
Speaker 11 (01:10:14):
Well, he said this was his twenty his second twenty
v one after the Kendrick Lamar situation. I think he
just added twenty one because seemed like envying on his side.
Speaker 2 (01:10:22):
I'm a Drake fan. I just don't walk nobody. I
could just say things and I don't like.
Speaker 9 (01:10:26):
Now you're gonna put a little bit of base, so
put put the dog in the bark like it.
Speaker 2 (01:10:30):
He ain't even sound like I don't. I think it
was just him playing into the caricature.
Speaker 5 (01:10:34):
Maybe I gotta watch it because I play stupid sometimes too,
and people don't like it.
Speaker 2 (01:10:37):
But I don't care. But I'm seeing he's a rapper,
like you're supposed to look at.
Speaker 7 (01:10:40):
Him at the watch and I didn't understand why I
was watching it. You gonna catch us lf envy with
the dirty chicks. He's gonna call you dirty booty and
you're gonna crusty krack.

Speaker 16 (01:12:18):

Speaker 12 (01:12:20):

Speaker 17 (01:12:21):
Come on now, somebody needs to tell.
Speaker 2 (01:12:23):
Him that some opportunities, big or small, could lead to
great opportunities.
Speaker 7 (01:12:28):
Exactly, that's right.
Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
What is this issue?
Speaker 17 (01:12:32):
I just don't understand that. I mean, yeah, he he's
a good singer, but a great singer. It's good to
be seen. Maybe he had gone on tour and somebody
start buying his product. We would know if he's a
great singer. Nobody needs to catch him and tell.
Speaker 2 (01:12:46):
Him, Uh, it's humble yourself, but he humble yourself. Y'all
have a good day, thank you session.
Speaker 12 (01:12:52):
Hello? Who is this with?
Speaker 2 (01:12:55):
But don't here the dad?
Speaker 25 (01:12:55):
I just wanted to give it to my husband.
Speaker 5 (01:12:57):
And that's a good one though.
Speaker 17 (01:13:01):
I just wanted him to kind of hear.
Speaker 4 (01:13:02):
Me over the radio.
Speaker 2 (01:13:04):
That's it. Yeah, I hope everybody has a great day.
Speaker 8 (01:13:08):
And what do you do?
Speaker 2 (01:13:10):
Put yeah, put us in your business?
Speaker 12 (01:13:12):

Speaker 19 (01:13:13):

Speaker 16 (01:13:27):
I want to give Dunk fifty?
Speaker 2 (01:13:30):
Why exactly?
Speaker 21 (01:13:33):
Because uh two?
Speaker 5 (01:13:34):
Having all these white people are writing these shows and
you know black people ain't serial clothes like that.
Speaker 12 (01:13:41):
Oh I don't think.
Speaker 5 (01:13:43):
I don't think a white person will fight Land. And
I definitely know a white person didn't write Raising Kanan
and all that.
Speaker 2 (01:13:49):
Not those stories.
Speaker 21 (01:13:51):
Yeah, Shasha Pin might some people.
Speaker 7 (01:13:54):
Oh yes, yes, no, Sasha Pen. Yeah that's actually yeah,
she is.
Speaker 12 (01:13:58):
A writer.
Speaker 2 (01:14:00):
To he he he did Tellers. That's one after another, right, yeah,
what what what this Sasha Pen?
Speaker 19 (01:14:07):
Right?
Speaker 5 (01:14:07):
Well, he wrote fight Land for fifty.
Speaker 12 (01:14:09):
No, that was on it.
Speaker 2 (01:14:14):
But you know it's a team of writers.
Speaker 7 (01:14:17):
Saush ain't the only one.
Speaker 5 (01:14:18):
Right, I know, like that everybody said, it's real good
what you're doing their own trump man there?
Speaker 12 (01:14:25):
Well white people you.
Speaker 16 (01:14:26):
Know, man, you know because black people ain't killing each
other like that?
Speaker 2 (01:14:31):
Are you crazy?
Speaker 7 (01:14:32):
You ever grew up in the streets, You never seen
no roofless as family.
Speaker 9 (01:14:36):
Come on now, I feel you, But no, bro, when
when when your life is the streets and you put
the streets over your family like a lot of drug
dealers and kingpins and queen pins, do you you most
likely gonna have those outcomes?
Speaker 4 (01:14:48):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (01:14:48):
People grow up like that.
Speaker 7 (01:14:50):
Your black people got so many layers to us like
it's it's.
Speaker 12 (01:14:53):
Stories like that.
Speaker 2 (01:14:54):
White people confused, Hello, who's this is crazy.
Speaker 16 (01:15:01):
Morning?
Speaker 2 (01:15:02):
We will give donkey too, y'all, y'all don't listen. That's
indeed what happened. I don't listen, but go ahead.
Speaker 12 (01:15:08):
What happened?
Speaker 17 (01:15:10):
Said the kids was four instant uh huh, and talking
about he used to take yours far when he was
a teenager.
Speaker 12 (01:15:20):
No, I was saying.
Speaker 5 (01:15:21):
They were saying, should the kids be charged? And I'm like,
everybody is taking it.
Speaker 7 (01:15:24):
Yeah, everybody has experienced that.
Speaker 5 (01:15:27):
I said, I don't know if you should charge now.
The fact that the kids are four six changes it
a lot, but change.
Speaker 2 (01:15:33):
The ass man little detention.
Speaker 5 (01:15:35):
You would never think to hide your keys from your
four and six year old When you're not thinking, your
four and six year old is taking your car, Like
I don't hide my keys, but it could happen.
Speaker 2 (01:15:42):
That's crazy. There are no limits soldiers out here, and.
Speaker 5 (01:15:47):
Hide your fire arm. You heard you hide your marijuana.
I wouldn't hide my car. I wouldn't think about it, honestly.
Speaker 17 (01:15:53):
Yeah, these kids are different. I forget you the cob kids.
Speaker 2 (01:15:58):
You are so right kids, or you are so right,
you're right.
Speaker 17 (01:16:03):
And then I also shout up at HU, shut off
the real HU.
Speaker 2 (01:16:10):
Write that talk, talk.
Speaker 12 (01:16:11):
That talk right.
Speaker 17 (01:16:12):
And I also want to give Charlmond a little don't
get a day too, because.
Speaker 2 (01:16:15):
He's been coming for Lauren, Dony Harry. He's coming for.
Speaker 17 (01:16:20):
Lauren, and I'll just be I'll be on your side
every step of the way.
Speaker 11 (01:16:23):
Yeah, I'm getting a little rest and recuperation today, but
you know tomorrow I'm back in the trenches.
Speaker 2 (01:16:27):
Speaking of the baby, We're back. Thank you so much
for that, y'all have a good one. Yes, I'll be there.
Speaker 12 (01:16:36):
No, you're not.
Speaker 25 (01:16:39):
Last in the airport.
Speaker 2 (01:16:40):
I saw you and Laura at the airport. We're not
bringing Lauren this time, don't. We're going tom.
Speaker 17 (01:16:45):
I don't hear what he's saying there.
Speaker 20 (01:16:48):
He yoh, Hello, who's this?
Speaker 12 (01:16:50):
Her?
Speaker 16 (01:16:50):
Third from Indy?
Speaker 23 (01:16:52):
Jay?
Speaker 2 (01:16:52):
What's uping man?
Speaker 12 (01:16:53):
What's that?
Speaker 16 (01:16:54):

Speaker 9 (01:17:01):

been since you seen me. I ain't been Inny in
a while.
Speaker 16 (01:17:06):

Speaker 7 (01:17:07):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, buddy, Yeah, you gotta see it all.
It's all the new material, all of that. You ain't
seen me in three years. You got to come back.
Speaker 20 (01:17:14):
I'm coming.
Speaker 16 (01:17:15):
But I'm gonna give myself donkey other day because I
was wrong as a parent if you did what I
did not want my son to. I did not want
my son to go to Purdue. I was like, you
can go anywhere in this country, go anywhere. He chose Purdue.
He's graduating next spring, No debt. He already got a.
Speaker 2 (01:17:31):
Job, graduated.
Speaker 12 (01:17:32):
Damn that's good.
Speaker 2 (01:17:33):
I really don't that's right.
Speaker 16 (01:17:35):
He did the same thing. I did, finance and accounting,
double major, all that good stuff. It's saint about me.
He's also in Alpha. It's about me. But guess what
he got a job offer. I made twenty two thousand
dollars my first year my real job. He's making five
hundred and thirteen percent more than That's a you mad
people out there, that's what it is.
Speaker 7 (01:17:55):
So I got.
Speaker 16 (01:17:58):
Yeah, I know, I just wanted to shit that. I'm
excited for him. He's going to London today. I'm gonna
take him to the airport tonight. He's gonna kick it
for a week before tool start. But man, I was
wrong for do workdout.
Speaker 7 (01:18:07):
That's right, get yourself the donkey's right. Relations to a.
Speaker 5 (01:18:10):
Baby, boys and all appearance out there, don't worry about
if your kids don't follow your footsteps or what you want.
Speaker 2 (01:18:16):
They might have a different.
Speaker 5 (01:18:17):
Vision and you support them, you love them, and then
you know if they do fall, that's what you're there for.
You there to pick them up. But hopefully they won't
and they know what they're doing. So Salu to your son.
Speaker 16 (01:18:25):
I appreciate y'a And tell Lauren I said with us.
Speaker 12 (01:18:27):
Too, what's up?
Speaker 16 (01:18:29):
What's up? I'm gonna keep going. I've been paying attention
to you online. You're killing it.
Speaker 2 (01:18:32):
Keep going, Thank you, I appreciate it.
Speaker 7 (01:18:34):
Yeling that all right?
Speaker 9 (01:18:35):
Brother, good thata YouTube and I will be in Indianapolis, Indiana,
August twenty eighth and August twenty ninth at Helium Comedy Clubs.
Speaker 7 (01:18:42):
So get your tickets for that at just Hilarious official
dot com.
Speaker 2 (01:18:45):
That's right.
Speaker 5 (01:18:46):
That was the People's Donkey eight hundred five eight five
one oh five one. Now when we come back, Inspect
the Deck from Wu Tang will be joining us. He
got a new album, Dragon's Breath. We're gonna talk to
him next. It's the Breakfast Club.
Speaker 2 (01:18:56):
Good morning morning everybody. It's DJ Envy Just Hilarious, I
mean the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. We got
a special guest in the building, Inspected Deck on the
set from WU Tank.
Speaker 5 (01:19:06):
Inspected that welcome Brock. You know it's the first time
Inspected Deck has been on the show. Yeah, you know,
it's the first of I actually met Inspected that. I
met a member of what expected that Wow. And when
I when I first seen it on the street, I
thought you gall was coming. Look, I'm like no expected
dec and I'm like, damn, this is the first time
I ever met you.
Speaker 19 (01:19:24):
Brother.
Speaker 20 (01:19:25):
How you doing, brother, I'm good man, it's good to
be here. I'm glad y'all let me up in the building.
Speaker 24 (01:19:29):
Of course, you got a new album called dragons Breath. Now,
when we were coming up in the nineteen hundreds, the
Dragons Breath was not a good thing.
Speaker 20 (01:19:35):
No, I wouldn't want that. But you know, you know,
it's just it's Dylon, you know, spit hot fire. Yeah,
this is this is like a rap album, you know
what I mean. It's not like trying to be King
Pinn or King of New York and nothing like that.
It's just more of inspected Deck been off the scene
for a while, I still think I got it, still
(01:19:56):
got a little something left in it. So I had
a bunch of songs. I said, I'm gonna put these
they used together, make these projects, and put them out
one bout one two to the Deck fans, you know,
because I know it's a lot of new stuff going.
Speaker 12 (01:20:06):
On in hip hop. Can we go?
Speaker 5 (01:20:08):
I want to go back, if y'all don't mind respect that.
This is the first time here. Of course, legendary group
Wu Tang, the first album. You were on that album,
the second most artist on that album. So let's start off.
Speaker 2 (01:20:18):
You've been from the Bronx.
Speaker 5 (01:20:19):
How a kid from the Bronx winds up in Staten
Island and then getting in this legendary group Wu Tang.
Speaker 20 (01:20:26):
Yeah, so yeah, shout out to the BX. I don't
wrap the Bronx enough. Bronx was like, that's my soul,
That's where I was born.
Speaker 2 (01:20:32):
At crazy people in America come from the Bronx and
all the.
Speaker 20 (01:20:35):
Florida Yeah VX Florida for sure. Yeah, add some Texas
to that, Texas to that. But yeah, man, coming up
with the Bronx was like hardcore on eighty third Grand
Concourse right there, Jerome AV six train. But it was like, wow,
I was hectic up there. So my mom was like
looking out for our safety, like we're gonna you wanted
(01:20:55):
to go somewhere a little more peaceful, coming from Lower
East Side Manhattan, you know, and Staten Allen is just
like this little cut over to the side. It's away
from the city. So she felt like that was the
place for us to grow up and it'd be safer.
But you know, Staten Island is its own jungle to
be just as bad as the Bronx. Statn alland is
(01:21:16):
the Bronx, but it's just concentrated. Everybody knows each other,
you know. So you know, that little small place is
where I kind of learned, you know, all my little streets,
savviness or whatever the case. And Bhutang was kind of
like already in the making because I went to school
with Ray, I went to school with you God, Meth.
Pretty much everybody Ghosts, so it was kind of like
(01:21:36):
we knew each other from way way back.
Speaker 5 (01:21:39):
They didn't look at you as an outsider because you
wasn't born and raised there or was it Just as
soon as you came, everybody y'all just clicked.
Speaker 20 (01:21:44):
Now, everybody came from somewhere. Rizza uz from Brooklyn.
Speaker 12 (01:21:49):
You know, od.
Speaker 20 (01:21:51):
Kappa, you got everybody's from Brooklyn. I'm like one of
the only few Bronx. Methh is Long Island, So you know,
everybody kind of came together. Ghost is the only one
on them stand now, got so he was born there,
but going to school, we all knew Rizzera. Rizza was
the DJ, had his raps, had everything going on, and
you know, Meth was somebody that was putting out tapes
(01:22:14):
in the hood, just be at people house making tape
stuff like that. I was doing the same thing one boy,
DJ Quincy, and so you know, word gets around. Then
we started mixing and mingling. I get with meth and
you got first. Ray Kwon is overhead across the street
with my brother Power recipes, and so it just came
to be, like you know what you're doing. Ray had
(01:22:35):
the idea of coming to Rizza Power put the thing together.
Power was the finances, say hey, yo, these dudes just
dog wanna get behind that, and you know, kind of
like it was a thousand rappers, it was. It was
as many of us.
Speaker 2 (01:22:50):
How did y'all break it down to that the core?
Speaker 5 (01:22:52):
Because like you said, there were so many rappers, how
was the core?
Speaker 2 (01:22:55):
That's great stuff.
Speaker 20 (01:22:56):
So Rizza saw something. He definitely saw He had the
vision of this way before any of this. And I
remember him coming to me saying, Yo, I'm gonna put
this group together. You know, we're gonna get these MC's,
We're gonna reps that al And I ain't know it's
gonna be me because I heard you know, this guy,
this guy, this guy was so many people, but he
had the ear to know, Hey, put this guy behind
(01:23:20):
him or put him before him and you can get
a certain sound. He'll he'll take you off the record.
You can have a dope verse you out of here.
His voice sounds a little better. So we're gonna put
him there. And that was like, oh you know, you
got you know, ooh what graand on this screwed. It
wasn't It wasn't sixteen, but it was a nice bridge
(01:23:41):
to lead you into Dirty Firsteen's first man Ya. But
when we first did it, it wasn't like that. And
Rizza had the knack to to know how to line
people up and put things together. So I think that's
really how it came down to who was going to
be who, because there's still dudes like to this day
that feel like they will take on stan Alan and
(01:24:02):
Stapleton ghost face projects. They were the first one of
the screen bhutang. I'm gonna shout that out because Paul killed.
We wasn't really we wasn't into the karate and all
that like that. So we came down to Stapleton, they
already had wu tang that meant.
Speaker 1 (01:24:15):
Fly to them.
Speaker 20 (01:24:16):
You know, if your shoes was wool yo, there was wool.
This is wool, that's wool, and I was like, okay,
you know, we into Channel five karate flicks and all that,
so we knew the principles and the brotherhood he was
trying to preach. So it's like, all right, I'm down
with this. You know, I'm running from the cops. I
got two felonies at the time, so I'm like, it
makes sense to just sit down and write some robins,
(01:24:37):
see where you go.
Speaker 24 (01:24:38):
So when it came to being like that MC who
what they call you, the Master of the opening open brush, right,
that was Rizzar's idea, though have you lead off everything?
Speaker 20 (01:24:48):
I don't know if it was really his idea for me.
I was just ready, Like you know, everybody else had
like a like a star power or some type of aura.
I was the humble, laid back but I was always
like I got a book on you, or I got something.
When I'm writing, I'm jotting things down. So when it
came down to those moments, I was always ready. We
(01:25:09):
was to throw the beat on. A lot of cats
had to write and get their stuff together, while I
had like ten joints. I just was on the bus
stop or on the ferry ready. So that's what it
came down to, like yo WITHLL to throw the beat on.
I'm already on the beat before you could even write
your rhymes. So that's I think that's what that became.
And then he saw it. Then he figured out, okay,
(01:25:30):
let's let deck set it off. Because I look at
it like double Dutch. We'll see like back in the days,
the kids warming up. That's how the beat is to me.
You get your then you jump in and you do
you do your steps right. So I always treated it
like that, like warm up, jumping and then get out
the first record.
Speaker 12 (01:25:49):
That's your recording.
Speaker 20 (01:25:50):
No, we did cream first, Wow, and Ray had three verses.
I had three verses on cream and it wasn't structured
with meth with the hook in the middle, and it
was called like life of a Drug Dealer or something
like that. I forget, but it's on YouTube though. You
can look that up. Oh my god, yeah, been in
a version. It's three verses of piece with us. But
took my verse this. I'll tell you how smart Rizard
(01:26:12):
is with that. He took the back and put it here,
took the front and put that in the back and
it took out the whole middle and it made the
verse on cream not y'all here now. But it's like
thirty forty more bars to that that I may release
one day. I may, I mean, it's out there, but
I may like say it on the track. I figure
(01:26:34):
that's a dope thing to do.
Speaker 2 (01:26:35):
Did you ever feel a way about that?
Speaker 5 (01:26:36):
Because if you talk to a lot of the members
of who, they always say but they say who's the nicest,
who's the most liberal?
Speaker 2 (01:26:42):
Who gets busy? They always say death and gism?
Speaker 1 (01:26:44):
Right?
Speaker 5 (01:26:44):
So did that ever make you feel a way because
you look at all the members and they always praise
you as being the nicest, the most lyrical, But as
far as career is concerned, their careers took a jump
from you.
Speaker 12 (01:26:56):
I was hot.
Speaker 20 (01:26:57):
I can't lie I was. I was, I was burnt,
but I didn't know why, you know what I'm saying.
I didn't know why that was happening. And then when
I learned, it's like old dirty, he's so extroverted that
you notice him even if he's quiet, you notice it.
I'm the quiet one, So I didn't know that me
playing the background or the pictures, you know, being humble
(01:27:19):
and not talking so much in the interviews that comes
back to hurts you. So I learned that and I
was like, Okay, when I did figure it out, you know,
I'm gonna start stepping towards the front.
Speaker 3 (01:27:29):
No.
Speaker 20 (01:27:30):
Now you see later on in life as the pictures,
I'm like, I'm front row because I'm like, I'm front
line when you talk Wu Tang, I'm front line bro
all the time, Like, no matter how many songs I'm on,
it's the impact of the versus, it's everything combined. The
setting it off. I said, I'm front line, man, So
I got to start playing the front. And then when
(01:27:51):
I changed that, I started getting a little more trajectory,
you know what I'm saying. But I still in the
back of my mind was playing catch up. So my
brother as I felt, how.
Speaker 24 (01:28:01):
Much of that first album, did we heard anything that
anything that.
Speaker 20 (01:28:06):
I did show approve word on the street I put
out a couple of my records.
Speaker 12 (01:28:10):
Yeah, so, and then me.
Speaker 20 (01:28:13):
I raped different. I'm I'm like the Marvin Gaye of
the Crew, you know, I'm like the Langston Hughes Them
type of dudes where it's more of a poetry. I
study Gil Scott Hemming a lot. I mean Gilt Scott
Herring books. I listened to his music. I try to
understand how he puts. He has some of the most
powerful words, but he doesn't say a whole lot of
(01:28:34):
big words and wordplay like that. He you know, I
can't pay my taxes, but white he's on the moon.
Speaker 1 (01:28:39):
You know.
Speaker 20 (01:28:39):
It's the impact of that, you know what I'm saying.
So I was figuring how I had to learn how
to write again. So I'm like, I'm not gonna be
we already got the street dudes. No, even though I'm
from the streets to it six felonies, you know, six
mins to meet the two felonies. I'm from the streets too.
I don't I don't advocate or glorify that, you know
what I'm saying. I've been to jail more than anybody
in my crew, So you know, I was like, I
(01:29:03):
don't want to be that Rayan Golds got that lot,
you know, meth. I'm more in the meth category, in
the just a category with styles and lyrics and just
keeping it hip hop. So you know, I said, I'm
going to be that dude. I'll be the storyteller and
I make the creams the Cold worlds different like that,
But I also play Devil's advocate and I talk about
the street life.
Speaker 12 (01:29:22):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 20 (01:29:23):
And if you really look, there's Inspected Deck the artists,
it's Inspected Deck from Wu Tang, and then there's Inspected
Deck from zar Face, the new.
Speaker 1 (01:29:33):
Crewp I got.
Speaker 20 (01:29:34):
So I have three different careers in one, and that's
really hard to do. I didn't know that until it
dawned on me, Like Yo, zar Face is suffering because
you're out here on Wu Tang too, and then Wu
Tang Tour, you know, is taking up the time, so
Inspected Deck can't put an album out. So it was
like fighting personalities in yourself. Then I learned how to
(01:29:58):
mesh them, and I just make music for everybody and everything.
Speaker 2 (01:30:02):
But you and Rizza are genius to where y'all put
it together.
Speaker 5 (01:30:05):
Because even if you think about it right, you don't
do things that are supposed to be catchy, but they're
just a catchy Like I'm just thinking ibamatomically, Socrates, philosophies
and hypotheses.
Speaker 2 (01:30:16):
Like that's not supposed to be catchy. But that's the line.
Remember as soon as it comes on you know.
Speaker 20 (01:30:21):
It's the lyrical miracle they call, right, it's a lyrical
miracle right now. You know, people don't even use that
many words nowadays. People ain't even trying to read a paragraph.
It's too long, bro, you know what I'm saying. So
I learned that over time. Now, like on dragons, brother,
I don't, I don't. I'm not that technical anymore. And
(01:30:41):
it's not like to dumb myself down. I just know
that I get just talk regular because people are just
like every day conversation, every day people. Now, it's not
a whole lot of big lyrical talk. There's some people
out there that get busy lyrically, like you know, one
of my favorites is Conway always Dope. And then there's
(01:31:02):
just people that they don't really want to hear all
of that. They just want to hear how to beat sound,
how to hook sound as a catchy can. I danced
to it, and I don't knock none of that.
Speaker 12 (01:31:12):
I just know me. I'm more of.
Speaker 20 (01:31:15):
A last poet, you know what I'm saying. I still
I consented to myself one of the last poets of today.
And you know, getting over that, that's when I finally
realized that, like, bro, you're not gonna catch up to
a method man, You're not gonna catch up to a ghost.
You're not gonna do none of that. But you are
just as appreciated, You're just as good, you're just as worthy.
(01:31:37):
And so with that mindset, I just carry myself different. Now.
Now it's not a competition. It was friendly competition for
a long time, but now it's not a competition. It's like, yo, Brotter,
I saw that movie you did the other day.
Speaker 12 (01:31:49):
Dope.
Speaker 20 (01:31:49):
You know, it's like now it's super congratulatory. You know,
ghosts got a video game coming out, did a song
on this video game. Can't wait for that, you know
what I mean? Yeah, everything is now. It's more. It's
a supportive role for everybody now as more as me. Like,
well why it ain't me?
Speaker 24 (01:32:06):
You know, well it's respected, deck man. Dragon's Breath is
out right now, Dragon's breath.
Speaker 20 (01:32:10):
We got the single Day in the Life out produced
by Phre the videos out man. It's doing real good,
doing real nice. Got the internet buzzing. That's another thing.
When you hear my music, I don't always got to
reach for the famous names, the producers or artists. I
like to give people a shot. You know, I might
have met you in the train station. Next you know,
I got a song, which you know, it's just more
(01:32:32):
that's my way of giving back or lending my voice
to somebody else's struggle, you know. And uh yeah the
album my son Elijah's birthday, you know, he'll be nineteen,
and uh then we got uh I was born. Yeah,
and then right after that we got Azarre Face with
Frankie Pullerzer featuring Frankie Pullers. Yeah know, Frankie Pullerzer is
(01:32:54):
you know, we can't say the name face Puller.
Speaker 12 (01:32:56):
But Paul No, that's also man, Wow, they don't know.
Speaker 20 (01:33:05):
I don't know what's pauls.
Speaker 8 (01:33:11):
Down.
Speaker 2 (01:33:18):
That's like soul snatching.
Speaker 12 (01:33:21):
No soul snatches.
Speaker 20 (01:33:22):
That's a pause.
Speaker 2 (01:33:23):
No no no, but I'm saying like, if you fa,
if you nowhere, Yeah, I don't.
Speaker 20 (01:33:28):
Know the pause laws.
Speaker 2 (01:33:32):
La dam inspected.
Speaker 20 (01:33:36):
That is the Breakfast Club.
Speaker 11 (01:33:38):
So Clarissa Scott, Clissa Scott, sorry, Courssa, she's going to
be She's going to be fighting k Scott. I was
looking at both of the names at the same time
this weekend August fifteenth, in Atlanta at the State Farm Arena.
Speaker 2 (01:33:52):
Now She's been doing a lot of press promoting this.
Speaker 11 (01:33:55):
She sat down with Cam Newton Funky Friday, and she
starts off the interview talking about the fact that she
is the did y'all know she's the first woman in
women's boxing to headline at the State Farm Marina I did?
Speaker 2 (01:34:08):
I was like, why haven't I heard this?
Speaker 7 (01:34:09):
Talking point?
Speaker 8 (01:34:10):
Though?
Speaker 15 (01:34:10):
I did not know that.
Speaker 5 (01:34:14):
People were important more about her in her relationship with
Pat Poos than her actually being a dope boxing About.
Speaker 11 (01:34:18):
The fight, I mean, I know, listen, I know Clarissa
is like one of one, but I didn't know how
big of a fight. Uh, this is literally going to
be a history making fight for her. I saw, Yeah,
I saw a Foyd Maywether post about it, and they
say make sure you come to witness history because you
may not ever see this again as well too, I
know Lotto is going to be walking her out, But
in the conversation, you know, they talk a bit about that,
(01:34:39):
but of course they get into her personal life.
Speaker 2 (01:34:42):
That's one of the things that they do. They they do.
Speaker 11 (01:34:45):
But I will be fair though, in this conversation, I
feel like Kim Newton did a really good job of
talking you know, he's an former athlete, former huge icon athlete.
Speaker 2 (01:34:53):
Uh.
Speaker 11 (01:34:53):
They talk a lot about the sports stuff, and he
asked her before they go into the personal stuff, do
you want to go there yet?
Speaker 2 (01:34:59):
And she's like, it's up to You're the interviewer. So
she was open for it.
Speaker 11 (01:35:01):
But they talked about when she's gonna be ready to
step away from boxing, because you know, she talked about
wanting to have a baby.
Speaker 2 (01:35:06):
Let's tay a listen, we having a baby next year.
Speaker 12 (01:35:09):
How y'all gonna have it?
Speaker 2 (01:35:10):
You're gonna have a child, have a kid.
Speaker 12 (01:35:12):
Yeah, listen here.
Speaker 2 (01:35:13):
Now, I'm not gonna have no Sarahgate.
Speaker 7 (01:35:14):
I can get pregnant like anybody else.
Speaker 2 (01:35:16):
But why did you say that? Why that first then
come in your mind? Because number one, you're a boxer.
Speaker 22 (01:35:20):
Yeah, I'm putting my career on hold.
Speaker 2 (01:35:21):
And number two, I know you have a minimum fight.
And number three, we're living in a day and age
where sarrogates are real.
Speaker 22 (01:35:28):
I don't want nobody carrying no kid from me either.
That was my young mindset eighteen. I'm like, I'm not
messing with this perfect body. Somebody else carried a little kid.
Now I feel like I want to have my own kid,
and I can't let somebody carry So.
Speaker 12 (01:35:39):
Y'all gonna start right after the fight.
Speaker 2 (01:35:41):
No, we had two fights.
Speaker 22 (01:35:42):
I have this fight and then probably one end of
the year January, then we'll and also too.
Speaker 2 (01:35:47):
He asked me. If you would have asked me, was
I ready to have a kid or da I want
a kid?
Speaker 22 (01:35:51):
I would have said hold on to probably thirty five
before I met him, because I feel like I want
to retire at thirty eight, so I want I have
a kid and then come back and have two more
fights than me done.
Speaker 2 (01:36:00):
But it was like with him, I wanted to have
a kid at thirty one thirty two, So she wanted
to wait, but he wants to have start a family
with us.
Speaker 11 (01:36:09):
It sounds like, you know, yeah, like their plans are
changing because this is something that they've talked about, because
she says that he initiated the conversation and he asked her,
so it's changed her conversation a bit.
Speaker 2 (01:36:19):
Let me ask you a question.
Speaker 5 (01:36:20):
If you're in a relationship like that and you wanted
to wait to have kids and the person that you
were in dating or engaged to, whatever that situation is,
wanted to have kids, would you put your career to
the side of said I'm going to have it right now.
Speaker 7 (01:36:31):
It depends on what my career is, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 9 (01:36:33):
I think you know Clarissa, I mean she can afford
to do that. You know she already she already been
blazing the trail and you know what, I like doing
her thing and reaching new heights and putting a lot
of eyes on female boxing.
Speaker 7 (01:36:45):
I think she deserved whatever she wants, you know, her
personal life.
Speaker 2 (01:36:49):
It depends though.
Speaker 9 (01:36:51):
Everybody can't afford to just set their their stuff career
aside to.
Speaker 7 (01:36:56):
Just sit down and have a baby. That takes us
a lot.
Speaker 11 (01:36:58):
For me, I also think, because I've always been nervous
about what happened career rise, I want to have a baby.
Speaker 2 (01:37:05):
Your partner matters.
Speaker 11 (01:37:06):
Like I think what it sounds like she's saying is
when she got with pet Poo's he made her feel
secure enough where she thinks, regardless of career whatever, they'll
be okay, right, And if that's how she feels, that's
her personal decision. For me, it would like, I'm I'm
now at the point where I'm like thinking about family
and be like I wasn't talking like this might like
a year or so ago, And a lot of it
is because the person that I'm in a relationship with now,
(01:37:28):
I know that, like I see a future with us, you.
Speaker 12 (01:37:30):
Know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:37:31):
But the career thing is scary.
Speaker 11 (01:37:33):
Like when I heard her say that, I've heard her
say this before, by the way, like she's talked about,
you know, planning to retire, not maybe like putting things.
Speaker 2 (01:37:39):
Even last year, but yeah, she's been vocal about this before.
Speaker 11 (01:37:42):
But it's scary when that's been your life and you
work so hard they work clips are came from and
where she is now.
Speaker 5 (01:37:47):
I just think Clarissa's is one of the best boxes
out there, and this men's and women's. I just hate
the fact that, you know, in the headlines we see
so much about her relationship and outside of the box
and field because she's.
Speaker 7 (01:37:58):
Just so and that's how that's how it is, how
it happened too.
Speaker 5 (01:38:01):
Yeah, because her movie is amazing, we don't talk about
he talks about that, the fact that she sells out
so many theaters and stadiums when it comes to boxing.
But I feel like we all we do is talk
about her personal life and we don't talk about the
fact that she gets busy in the ring.
Speaker 2 (01:38:14):
You know, it's just that.
Speaker 11 (01:38:15):
Yeah, Well listen, I will say I thought I was
talking about this over the week when I was watching
this interview. I'm like, you know what Floyd Mayweather, he
had culture, he had entertainment. People cared about his personal life,
who he was buying, Well for what is dating was like?
But we did always talk about Floyd the boxer as
well too, And I don't know why can't she why
why is there no balance with.
Speaker 5 (01:38:33):
Her talking about Floyd's personal life as much as we
did boxing. Well maybe boxing.
Speaker 7 (01:38:38):
Maybe been also reading it was remember they was saying
it was a lot of.
Speaker 2 (01:38:44):
Boxing, but it was the working.
Speaker 5 (01:38:47):
Bags and boxing, that it was the money. All the
money's been on cars and cribs and trips. And then
it was the women, but it was boxing that first.
But I feel like with Clarissa, we talked about the
bs first and then the boxing to just.
Speaker 11 (01:38:58):
This point that I think it is how it went down.
I had one audio all wanted to play, but I
don't even know if we should. Okay, let's talk. She
addressed the whole you broke up a happy home thing.
Speaker 12 (01:39:07):
There's a narrative that says you broke up a happy home,
and I just told you that that never happened.
Speaker 22 (01:39:11):
I'm not about to try to explain to nobody that
what she did before I even met him, how she
was with this dude and all this stuff. It's a
timeline between this stuff. Why do you think he knocked
buddy out? It wasn't a happy home to break up.
Speaker 2 (01:39:23):
You're a girl's girl, right, You support women, You support people.
Could you ever see a day where you and remy
out of eye?
Speaker 22 (01:39:32):
That's when people hold themselves accountable. This whole story about
mistresses and getting cheated on, it got to stop.
Speaker 2 (01:39:38):
That never existed.
Speaker 12 (01:39:39):
I'm gonna smoke with her.
Speaker 2 (01:39:40):
It's not beef.
Speaker 22 (01:39:41):
Make she dislike me? Sure so, And like the beginning
was really an issue because it was like, be honest.
Speaker 2 (01:39:47):
And be truthful.
Speaker 22 (01:39:47):
I'm not a woman who chased nobody else. Man, I'm
not a woman who even liked men that got women.
If you got a woman who you're in a relationship
with and you're trying to talk to me, I will hold.
Speaker 7 (01:39:55):
You that messing up a happy home, cam, I don't know.
Speaker 9 (01:39:59):
I feel like it was try and baita a little
bit with that, because even even Remy was saying that
they were already like you know what I mean, Like
they wasn't.
Speaker 7 (01:40:06):
They didn't Clarissa didn't break them up. He was just
still in the house and.
Speaker 9 (01:40:11):
Remy came home and found you know and saying, you
know on the phone and all that. That's how we
that's how the world found out about them. But they
already weren't even okay.
Speaker 2 (01:40:22):
Like you know, per both of their story. So I mean,
what it is, what it is.
Speaker 9 (01:40:26):
I just hate when Clarissa brings actually no, because Cam
boked Rey up. He said, do you think that y'all
will ever be cool? But I just want at least
her team to be like, look, yo, you can speak
on your relationship, don't speak on the other side.
Speaker 2 (01:40:40):
Just just don't. Just don't.
Speaker 11 (01:40:41):
That's what I was trying to say, Like there's no
balance that she can find where like both are getting.
Speaker 9 (01:40:46):
She knows how to answer the questions without even talking
about the other part.
Speaker 11 (01:40:49):
I've been calling people all weekend, like did y'all know
she was breaking this record to stay for Marina and Amvy?
I called you there was like did you know that? Like,
I know she's doing big things, but that is so
big for her. Shout out to Clarissa for doing this.
They talked about on Funky Finer.
Speaker 2 (01:41:02):
He opened it.
Speaker 11 (01:41:03):
We're talking about it was the first time I seen
an interview where she That was the opening of the conversation,
and I just yeah, I just you know, to me,
I was just like, dang, why can't she Why haven't
we found a balance of like people care about a
personal life now because I was starting, but like Clarissa
is really out here making history in her fields. I
just wanted to learn how to curve that. And they're
bringing back around the wish the boxing. Yeah she shouldn't.
(01:41:24):
Now at this point they together, they're moving on whatever.
But yeah, that was the latest for the Hour was
brought to you by Top Dog Law. Top Doug Law
has won one billion dollars for their clients. You get
into an accident, you make the call Top Doug Law.
Their bark is their bike stretch.
Speaker 2 (01:41:40):
Okay, right, young.
Speaker 12 (01:41:42):

Speaker 2 (01:41:43):
I'm stretching because I'm trying out for the w n
b A today, So oh my.
Speaker 23 (01:41:46):

Speaker 11 (01:41:47):
I'm trying to want them people to what now all
these men talking about they're gona trut for w NBA
because I'm try'all been real funny.
Speaker 2 (01:41:54):
Why they said they said that, They said I can
and I can't.
Speaker 12 (01:42:00):
Oh you can't. I need a wig?
Speaker 13 (01:42:02):
You need like you need.
Speaker 2 (01:42:02):

Chris Brown and the team for inviting me out this weekend,
and the team really appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (01:43:07):
Had an amazing time.
Speaker 5 (01:43:09):
My son went, my daughter went, and it was just
a dope weekend. Even though it rained and everything that
didn't stop anything. I want to say this again to me,
Chris Brown is the best R and B before my
ive scene and he dances better than Michael.
Speaker 2 (01:43:23):
I like what you say, but I like that.
Speaker 7 (01:43:24):
I don't like when you just say it straight up
like that. I like when you say Chris Brown is
Michael Jackson on crack.
Speaker 2 (01:43:30):
You're trying to get away from them headlines so bad.
I'm just telling you.
Speaker 5 (01:43:34):
Like watching him dance and and he does everything from
the crump to everything Michael did, to everything to sing,
and he just does so much and it's just like
that boy get busy, like it is out of this world,
but like he's flying in the air, singing and flipping
in the air and then it gets back on stage
and starts dancing and singing and then does a flip
(01:43:54):
and it goes into crowd and then does another flip.
Speaker 2 (01:43:57):
Nah no, get that, boys, get that. This prop it's
not to get about it. You got a positive note.
Speaker 7 (01:44:02):
I do listen. This is for business, whether it's street
business or corporate.
Speaker 16 (01:44:07):
Right.
Speaker 9 (01:44:07):
You're always supposed to pay attention to those who came
for you and learn from them.
Speaker 7 (01:44:13):
Don't ever think you're bigger than the program. Okay, don't
lose sight.
Speaker 2 (01:44:16):
So this is a quote.
