This month's episode is the second of a two-part series on the state of Indigenous languages in New Brunswick. We examine efforts to revive and preserve the Wolastoquey and Mi'kmaq languages through the education curriculum and cultural practices. We speak with Imelda Perley, a Wolastoquey elder, and a leader in the push to save her language. We also talk to several learners, and take a trip to a sweat lodge to learn how language is passed on through traditional ceremonies.
