In this first episode of the Meet the Millenials series of three, Sheila introduces her son, Michael Melody. Michael, or “Mike” as he is known to everyone else, talks about what it was like growing up as an only child to a single mom, how he felt about wearing crystals to kindergarten and his mom burning sage to protect him from negativity. Mike also discusses his choice to not go to college and starting work as a Video Game Tester right after graduating high school. He shares his journey to self-discovery through asking for and saying “YES” to more responsibility, which ultimately lead him to his dream job as a Project Manager at King Tide in Los Angeles, a design and development company that creates innovative technology solutions that elevate brands and builds powerful customer experiences through a highly collaborative process. We also introduce a new segment, “Mike’s Millenial Minute” where we hear a tip on how to manage your life better from Michael. In this segment, Mike talks about using a journal to ask a question right before going to sleep, and then writing about it first thing in the morning after meditation to discover answers.
