Born into an artistic family dating back to the time of the Medici, Ricky Boscarino, aka: Ricky of Luna Parc, has continued the lineage of artistry and craftsmanship. His Largest work in progress is his home and atelier Luna Parc, begun in 1989.
A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design in 1982, Ricky continues to create whimsical, sophisticated work in a variety of media including metal, clay, glass, wood and cement.
I have known Ricky Boscarino for about 20 years and I swear he ages backwards. He epitomizes the phrase “artistic expression” and perhaps it is that level of unbridled creativity that is the fountain of youth. Ricky IS art. His home and atelier, Luna Parc, in rural Sussex County NJ is a place of wonder. The whimsical grounds are a work of art, filled for acres with sculptures made of metal, clay, glass mosaic, bowling balls, blue jars, license plates and many other random and not-so-random objects. His home showcases all kinds of cool and quirky memorabilia, like a museum of curiosities.. You have to see it to experience it. It's indescribable. He makes Suess-like ceramics and amazing face pots, really cool jewelry and he paints as well. He offers workshops and tours and he heads The Luna Parc Atelier Foundation Inc.is an official Non-Profit 501(C)(3) with a mission-To facilitate creativity in all people especially creative youth by demonstrating the creative process by actual hands-on activity. What does Ricky NOT do is the question.
