We do this by applying systems thinking. Looking at every component in isolation AND in conjunction with everything that surrounds it.

 

People levers

When you're looking at the right people levers, it's about thinking about and asking the questions:

  1. The right people, in the right seat, at the right time.

  2. Are your people crystal clear on their role and how it ties into the impact you want to make?

  3. Do they have ownership of how they accomplish their outcomes and know the resources they can draw from?

  4. Do they know the expectations? The dependencies and flow on effects?

  5. Do they have room for creativity and innovation?

 

Technology levers

  1. Does every tool have a clear purpose?

  2. Does your tech stack connect and operate as its own digital ecosystem?

  3. Is it doing what it needs to? Can it do more than it needs to?

  4. What tools can we utilise more? What tools double up?

 

Process levers

  1. How do we track and measure?

  2. How do we communicate what needs to be done, when and by whom?

  3. How do we create SOPs that aren't out of date the second we publish them?

  4. Do our processes consider experience? Touchpoints and human interactions?

  5. Are some processes using ample brain space and human resources when they could be automated without negative impact?
