Hello and welcome to the eighthepisode of Pocket Full of Mojo,

(02:07):
and once again I'm Steph, yourhostess, and mojo maven, and I'm
so glad you're here.
This is going to be a supersaucy episode, so let's get
right into it.
Let's start by digging intotoday's mantra.
So today's mantra is I amfearless because I know I have
the strength to conquer anything.

(02:28):
Wow, okay.
Now Imagine for a second whatyour life would be like if that
were true.
I am fearless because I know Ihave the strength to conquer
anything.
This mantra really embodies amindset of courage and

(02:50):
resilience.
It acknowledges that, yeah, fear may come up, but we choose
to confront it head on becausewe have before and we can again.
I am fearless because I knowthat I have the strength to
conquer anything.
You know, confidence comes withself-awareness and a trust in

(03:11):
your abilities, and you know youhave several, many of those.
This mantra reminds us that wealready have the strength that
we need.
We just need to call on it andit's there.
I am fearless because I knowthat I have the strength to
conquer anything.
Each and every one of usalready has an inner reservoir

(03:34):
of resilience and strength anddetermination and innate power
capable of overcoming thechallenges that will inevitably
find us Repeating this mantra.
Keeps this knowing close byready for the call to action.
I am fearless because I knowthat I have the strength to

(03:56):
conquer anything.
With unwavering beliefs inourselves, we can face any
obstacle or adversity that comesour way.
We will be victorious in theend, but we have to enter the
arena.
I am fearless because I know Ihave the strength to conquer
anything.
That was a good one.

(04:20):
We are going to keep thatmantra.
We are going to keep it in ourpocket.
We are going to have it handy.
We are going to practice itthroughout the day, throughout
the week.
We know that we can call onthat strength whenever we need.
We just need to make sure thatwe have the roadmap and keep it
close by.
Let's move into today's maintopic.
What we are going to do heretoday is really dig into

(04:44):
something that will empower thepeople pleasers to embrace the
fearless self-expression andlive a life filled with
self-love.
Today we are diving deep intothe transformative power of
expressing our authentic selveswithout fear.
Fear is what Not invited.

(05:07):
Picture this you are at a partysurrounded by laughter and
chatter, but instead of joiningin, you find yourself shrinking
into the background, kind ofafraid to speak up or share your
thoughts or feelings.
Sound familiar?
Many of us have been there.
I think I mentioned a similarstory in one of my last episodes

(05:27):
.
But we get stuck in this cycleof people pleasing and we become
afraid to show up as our trueselves.
We end up living in fear ofrejection or judgment, and this
is more than being a bit shy.
We're too old for that.
It's time to step into ourlight and share the amazing

(05:48):
humans that we are.
The world will be better for it, and in a minute you'll see why
.
But here's the thing when yousuppress yourself, your true
self, and you find yourselfconforming to societal
expectations or anyone'sexpectations, really what you're

(06:08):
doing is you're denying theworld of the gift that is you,
your unique perspectives, yourunique talents.
No one's been in this world theway that you have.
But, babe, you're not alone.
There are so many of us who getin our own way and we rob
ourselves of the opportunity tolive a life in alignment with

(06:29):
our deepest desires and ourpurpose.
And it's not cute.
We deserve more.
So why do we do it?
Where do we learn thisconformity and how can we break
away?
Well, let's start by definingself-expression.
Self-expression is the act ofsharing our thoughts, our
feelings, our experiences, anddoing it authentically, and this

(06:52):
is the key here doing itunapologetically.
That's right.
We've run out of fucks to giveand it's time to live out loud.
It's about embracing our quirks, our passions, our
vulnerabilities, and allowingthem to shine through in
everything we do, because alongwith that comes all of our good
stuff too.
When we express ourselvesfreely, we're not only honoring

(07:16):
our own truth, but we'recreating a space to inspire
others to do the same.
Because, guess what?
We're all out there making itup as we go along, and there's
no wrong answers here.
So why not put up your hand andspeak up?
So let's look at the roadblocks.
Let's see what's preventing usfrom really expressing ourselves

(07:36):
fearlessly and fiercely.
Let's explore a few.
The first one that comes tomind is the fear of rejection,
my former best friend.
We've broken up since then, butI've spent a lot of time with
this loser and Know well enoughto know that it ain't.
Nobody got time for that.
One of the most commonroadblocks to self-expression is

(07:57):
the fear of rejection.
We worry that if we show ourtrue selves will be judged or
criticized or even ostracized byothers and the voice telling
you all this is a liar and ifthese things do happen, I'm here
to tell you it doesn't matter.
So write this down otherpeople's opinions are none of

(08:19):
your business.
The next piece of the puzzlethat comes to ruin the party is
social conditioning.
So often, from a young age,we're taught to conform to
societal norms and expectations.
That's how you're a good girlor boy.
We learn that fitting in allowsus to stay out of the firing
line when it comes to criticismand that standing out is a bad

(08:40):
thing.
We learn that to suppress ouruniqueness in favor of fitting
in is A good thing and that weneed to seek approval from
others, and what's funny is thatthose other people are also
looking to fit in.
So now look at this mess thatwe've made.
We've adapted these socialstructures and these systems,

(09:01):
and the bad news is that thesecontinue long past childhood.
But we're grown-ups now, and weget to be the change that we
want to see, and that means thatyou get to be yourself, you get
to give zero fucks and you getto let the chips fall where they
may, and this is a trend worthsetting.
Now the other loser that needsto leave the party is self-doubt

(09:24):
.
Negative self-talk and limitingbeliefs are gross.
Now they're normal, sadly andand yet the truth is that they
are the ones that are holding usback, which means that we are
the ones that are holding usback, and it stops us from
expressing ourselves withauthenticity.
When we question whether ourthoughts, ideas and talents are

(09:46):
worthy of sharing with the world.
We keep listening to thenegative things that the world
has to say, and we may start tobelieve that we and our thoughts
are not worthy of the spotlight.
But guess what, my friend?
That's just more lies.
But finally, here's some goodnews we have the power to
conquer these roadblocks and tapinto our best selves.

(10:10):
So let's dig into somestrategies to help you do just
that.
The first thing we're gonna dois shine a spotlight on your
self-awareness.
Start by getting to knowyourself on a deeper level.
Think about what your passionsare.
When was the last time youinterrogated what your interests
are, can you even lift yourvalues?
The more you understand who youare, the easier it becomes to

(10:35):
express yourself authentically.
Get to the place where youactively enjoy spending time
with yourself.
Take yourself out on dates, dosome journaling.
Go out into nature.
Discover what lights you up andwhere do your thoughts go when
you're just thinking about you.
The more time you spend, themore you'll fall in love with
yourself and discover all thegood stuff that makes you tick

(11:00):
and the value that you bring tothe world, because you're a big
deal.
Get into it Now.
Based on what I just said, thismay sound counterintuitive, but
I'm gonna ask you to challengeyour beliefs, question the
beliefs and assumptions thathold you back from expressing
yourself Fearlessly.
Are they rooted in truth or arethey simply stories that you've

(11:20):
been telling yourself?
Or, worse yet, stories thatsomeone else has told you?
Look, they're not you.
If you uncover some limitingbeliefs, replace them with
empowering affirmations thatreinforce how unique and amazing
that you are, because that'sthe realty.
Now, this may take some muscle, but it's important to practice

(11:41):
courageous words, but it'simportant to practice courageous
vulnerability.
Think of it like a trust fall, and it do take nerve to fall
with your eyes closed, but whenyou embrace vulnerability as a
strength rather than a weakness, you're off to the races.
When you share your thoughtsand your feelings and your
experiences openly,vulnerability can feel

(12:04):
uncomfortable at first, but itbuilds connection and it allows
others to see the real andamazing you.
This will mean stepping outsideof your comfort zone and at
first it may feel like anout-of-body experience, but
you'll be looking at yourself, acting with strength and courage
and dang, it looks good on you.

(12:25):
If you've ever felt overlooked, rewind the tape and interrogate
the thought Was I trulyrepresenting myself in that
moment?
Because, believe it or not, theworld can tell when someone is
sharing who they are and whenthey're not.
On some level, we can pick upwhen someone is shining through

(12:45):
and when they're just trying tofit in.
Pick your camp.
Shine bright.
That's your homework Now.
A key ingredient to all this isto surround yourself with
support.
Surround yourself with peoplewho celebrate and encourage the
authentic self-expression thatis you.
Seek out communities andrelationships where you feel

(13:07):
seen and heard and valued forwho you truly are Feeling.
Seen and heard are goodindicators that you're with the
right people.
Sometimes this means doing abit of inventory on our social
circle to weed out thecheerleaders from the Debbie
Downers, and that's okay You'llhave a better idea of where
you're safe to express and whereyou're best to save your breath

(13:29):
.
Remember, your story isimportant and the world needs to
hear it because, who knows, youmay end up even changing a mind
or two.
But embracing fearlessself-expression, you do not only
honor yourself, which is alwaysour number one priority, but
you're also out there inspiringothers to do the same.

(13:51):
So let go of fear, break upwith conformity because frankly
it's boring and unleash the fullpower of your unique voice and
presence.
Your mojo and the world arewaiting.
["mozjo and the World AreWaiting"].
Oh, yes.
Now that's all for today'sepisode of Pocket Full of Mojo.
