Ten years ago, Irisneri Alicea Flores took the leap to start researching her family history in Puerto Rico, and she has never looked back. Combining a lifelong love for history with a passion for discovering stories and names of ancestors that time would otherwise have forgotten, she realized the truth of the adage "when you do what you love, you don't work a day in your life." Fluent in both Spanish and English, her research primarily focuses on former Spanish colonies in the Caribbean, Central & South America. Irisneri assists descendants in reclaiming their heritage, empowering them with knowledge of their family history and guiding them through the healing process that often accompanies such discoveries.
