Both men and women can develop breast cancer, however, it is much more rare in men. It is estimated that 1 in 8 women in the US will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. It is very likely that you, or someone you know has been affected by breast cancer. Except for skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women. How well do you know your girls? What are you doing to make sure you know your status? In today’s show, we will discuss some of the guidelines for getting screened for breast cancer, some of the signs and symptoms and even how to check for lumps yourself. We will also have with us Jill Helmke of NuView Life Sciences. Jill will discuss how NuView Life Sciences is developing a new approach to diagnosis cancer that can help reduce both false positives and invasive cancer screening procedures.
