Well what if happiness was like this very plate. So often our brain likes to make the story one thing or the other. Happiness is either all pleasure or none of it, without any room for balance or nuance. Today on the podcast, I’m comparing our search for happiness in life to the metaphor of the Happiness Plate. What if instead of getting sick of only eating dessert, we made room for the things that would truly make us feel good about ourselves while also allowing ourselves to be human and enjoy the simple pleasures of life?
