Nurse Alice Benjamin is a nurse, author, content creator, and health advocate affectionately known as “America’s Favorite Nurse!”
Nurse Alice has extensive nursing experience specializing in cardiovascular health, critical care, and emergency medicine. She has worked at some of the world's most prestigious academic tertiary centers as well as some of the most underserved community hospitals taking care of some of the sickest patients on the planet.
Nurse Alice is a TV medical contributor for NBC 4 in Los Angeles and has appeared on numerous national shows and networks including GMA3, Dr. Oz, The Doctors, CNN, HLN, FOX News, News Nation, TVOne, BBC and KTLA Morning News. She also hosts the Ask Nurse Alice Podcast & The Exam Room with Nurse Alice. Her health features have been published in Blavity, Huffington Post, EBONY, Black Enterprise, JET, Black America Web, AARP, Bustle, XO Necole, Heart & Soul, Nurse.org, The American Nurse, ADVANCE Nursing Magazine, and others.
Nurse Alice was the first nurse to chair the American Heart Association
Interdisciplinary Multicultural Health Equity Taskforce responsible for community outreach and education programs. She was also the first Black nurse to serve on the American Nurses Association/California board of directors. Nurse Alice is also an ambassador for the American Heart Association and AARP.
She is the Chief Nursing Officer at Nurse.org, a national lecturer and social media influencer who presents workshops on various health, wellness, and motivational topics to companies and organizations.
