Cultivating Kindness With Karen  As we enter a New Year many people set intentions of change. You may wish to grow your prosperity or personal strength. You may be looking to move up in your chosen career. Most intentions are to help you grow and move up towards a greater sense of self and achievement. In order to achieve these goals/intentions you must be sure to look at yourself and what is required from you. This can include your shadow side or parts of you that you have worked hard at keeping hidden. In order to have more, everyone is required to grow up and step into the maturity required to see yourself, your choices and your actions for what they have truthfully created. Kindness was definitely missing in Karen’s life.  Karen was always kind and compassionate to others, however she was not showing kindness to herself.  Today Karen knows that kindness towards others was actually a way of avoiding her own wounds and sadness.  These choices created a life of ‘people pleasing’, keeping the peace and avoiding conflict; especially if it involved having to say “No” to someone else.
