Pietro Alotto è arrivato in val di Fiemme (TN) dal mare di Agrigento negli anni novanta per insegnare Filosofia e storia. Ha scoperto il metodo delle mappe argomentative, cioè un modo strutturato e schematico per smontare, capire, destrutturare i legami logici che ci sono alla base di ogni argomentazione, testo, discorso. Scovare questi elementi aiuta poi ad essere realmente critici in modo appropriato e fondato. Ha applicato questo metodo anche a scuola e ha aperto nel 2017 un blog La scuola che non c'è.
