Miranda Lambert Performs Acoustic Version Of 'Bluebird' For Holiday Special

Miranda Lambert performed her hit single, "Bluebird" during CBS' A Home For The Holidays special on Sunday night (December 20).

The country star delivered a heartfelt acoustic rendition of the track from what appeared to be her Tennessee home.

"And if the house just keeps on winning / I got a wildcard up my sleeve / And if love keeps giving me lemons / I'll just mix 'em in my drink / And if the whole wide world stops singing / And all the stars go dark / I'll keep a light on in my soul / Keep a bluebird in my heart," Lambert sings on the chorus.

Lambert was just one of several artists who performed during the annual holiday special, including Josh Groban, Meghan Trainor, Leslie Odom Jr. and Andrea Bocelli. The 22nd Annual A Home For The Holidays, hosted by Gayle King, featured uplifting stories of adoption from foster care and raised awareness of the important social issue. This year's broadcast also featured three families adopting their children on-air.

"Bluebird," which Lambert co-wrote alongside Luke Dick and Natalie Hemby, is featured on her seventh studio album, Wildcard. It's the second single from the album, following "It All Comes Out In The Wash."

"This song is special," Lambert previously said of the song. "It's got this hope to it. It's got a darkness too, though, but it's also hopeful. Life is going to give you lemons, period. If there wasn't problems then we wouldn't appreciate the great days, but going through those things and overcoming problems-whatever they are-makes us strong and appreciate the sun."

She added, "You know, it's like ten straight days of rain and then the sun comes out and you're like, 'I forgot how much I loved it.'"

"Bluebird" hit the top of the charts in July, marking Lambert's first No. 1 song in six years. "'Bluebird' is officially a number one song," Lambert said in a tweet at the time. "It's been 8 years since I had a number 1 on the billboard charts and 6 years on mediabase. I have spent my life doing what I love and I feel more blessed and humbled than ever to have this song of hope resonate with you all."

"Settling Down" follows up "Bluebird" as Lambert's third single from her Wildcard record.
